WSB fights are not professional fights. Why do you try to move the goalposts so desperately? Rigondeaux already had several 8 round fights before taking on Cordoba. Lomachenko never fought for more than 5 rounds before he faced Salcheato.

Okay, go have a look at video of Floyd at that weight. Pretend that he is not a fighter you worship, and look at him objectively. Davis is clearly faster and a harder puncher. Floyd has plenty of superiors when it comes to boxing.

Okay, we can discuss the technical details about my claims if you like. I don't worship a guy just because there is black and white video of them.

Of course 20 year old Lomachenko would have beaten 20 year old Davis. That was when Lomachenko was at his best. I think a lot of people only became aware of Lomachenko from the Salido fight on, and they believe he developed after that fight. He was a complete fighter as an amateur, his 2008 and 2009 campaigns were the best boxing I've ever seen. That fight with Salido was an anomaly (in no small part thanks to Salido's cheating and the ref).
Do you think Davis would've had 396 wins, 1 loss and two Olympic gold medals, two World Champ golds, a junior world Gold as an amateur? Of course he wouldn't have, he was only a national level fighter, not international. Davis had a record of 206-15 with no meaningful tournament wins.

So we're comparing SRR to Lomachenko? Let's start with their footwork (arguably their strongest part of their game). I give SRR credit for originating the idea of dancing to improve boxing footwork (he was the first as far as I know), which Lomachenko and his father adopted. When it comes to applying that footwork Lomachenko has the edge. SRR was primarily a mid range fighter, he used his footwork to control range and get out of trouble (he had no defense on the inside). He was a master at that mid range. Lomachenko uses his footwork to move laterally primarily, to feint and set himself up for combinations. I don't even need to talk, I ask everybody to compare these videos. Boxing has evolved, just use your eyes and look at the world of difference between the two.

Now it's your turn, tell me something that SRR does better than Lomachenko.

Semantics doesn't help your position. Lomachenko was paid, fought under the 10 point must system, and didn't use headgear in those six fights after his amateur career ended. So as I said, Rigondeaux fought Cordoba in his seventh non-amateur fight. Lomachenko fought Salido in his eighth non-amateur fight.

They weren't amateur fights. 10 point must system, paid, and no headgear at a time when amateur fights used headgear. I'm not moving the goalposts. I stated a fact, that Rigondeaux fought Cordoba in his seventh non-amateur bout, while Lomachenko faced Salido in his eighth non-amateur bout. Some of you try to enhance Loma with foolishness. He doesn't need it.

Lomachenko fought fellow amateurs in the WSB. He didn't fight pros. As for Cordoba he was never a world champion. Therefore he wasn't on Salido's level. Nice try though.

Really because they are not on his Professional record so it is before he turned pro. Lol you are talking about semantics when you result to the stupid argument non - amateur... when you have to carefully phrase something to try to hide your b.s you really don't have a point. And again how was dalido weight drained again.

Salido was having weight troubles. He was drained, and he ran out of gas late in the fight. I tell you what. If Loma had Davis' power, he would have stopped Salido, instead of losing a decision.
