Garcia was 15 lbs lighter than Broner who won titles in 4 divisions.
Broner for all his trouble outside the ring is still a top 5 LWW.
Linares is a solid fight but Garcia took a bigger risk

Linares is the better name as of now, Broner's
name is synonymous with trash ATM. If Mikey had
taken on a fresh Broner or a Broner that had never
moved up but wreaked havoc at LW for the past 5 years
instead of going up and down I'd say Broner would've
    been a better name.

Based on their losses, Broner is the better win, I'd much rather beat a guy with losses to Porter, Maidana and Mikey Garcia than to a guy with losses to DeMarco, Thompson and Salgado. But... based purely on skillset and overall talent, clearly the better win is Linares, who's never lost a match by being outboxed. So to outbox and stop Linares, that's far more impressive for a fighter's legacy.

It's about even. Weight matters in boxing.

What is Linares' and Broner's status in their respective divisions at the time? Who is the more professional operator, who is in better form at the time? Who is the more skilled operator, who throws combinations and always comes to fight?
    It's not even close.

If we're talking relative to their respective opponents in this discussion then it's closer. Garcia was stretching himself more than I anticipate Lomachenko stretching himself against Linares.

To add to that, Broner has about 400 official wins that should really be loses or draws.

This.. at least Broner lost to legit top 3 guys in their division..
Linares is good and right now is on a streak but both of these guys are a step below elite.. B to B+ guys

You’re separating them into different divisions. Broner was actually more dominant in his short stay at 135 than Linares ever was. Linares is probably number one at 135 right now. But if you take a guy who is Lomachenko’s or Roman’s size and throw them in with Broner and Linares, they’re similar difficulty . I think Broner has more to trouble Loma, actually, due to size and power whereas Linares has no advantage.

I agree with every verdict on Broner’s record including the draw last week.

    Lo really?
We should forget the four weight div champ thing with Broner as the guys a fool and despite him having some skill nd talent all he shows us is an ability to survive 12 rounds with everyone but if Linares is an Elite boxer and he is,Broner therefore is about C level as his record would suggest.

Watch the stupid excuses AFTER the fight from these haters like The Akbar One

Linares past defeats will suddenly come up,
    Linares will suddenly be 'old'
Linares will suddenly be 'past it'
Linares will suddenly be classed as 'was never any good'
Possibly there'll be some injury or they'll say he didn't train right or something.

and then they'll say Lomachenko needs to step up and fight somebody, whilst they are actively looking for the next 'hope' preferably one with as much melanin as possible.

It's the merry go round of the butthurt haters.

I think linares can give loma his best fight but man he haves a paper face! Its gonna end on a tko! To beat loma you have to be on the inside and linares its not that fighter!!
