He's one of the worst commentators ever. He's tactless, unprofessional, childlike by times, sometime dishonest, and very biased. HBO would be wise to replace him, perhaps with a retired boxer.

He’s alright. He’s obviously very knowledgeable about boxing which seems to make him assume he’s always right.
I liked him a lot more 20 years when he worked Friday Night Fights. He called it like it was back then. Now he's just a company shill who blatantly defends Oscar/Canelo at every turn. His downplaying of Canelo's roiding is quite sickening. HBO has gone to ****.
He's alright. Says some over-hyperbolic things at times. But so do most of us here on this board. No problem with him really.
He doesn't need to carry Old Larry's anything, though. I saw him at the Mandalay Bay in 2011. He had two smoking hot chicks w/ him in the elevator... But they probably just went back to his room to watch his favorite fights on YouTube.
Max Kellerman isn't fit to lace Larry Merchant's spit bucket. Larry was a walking quote machine, Max has never uttered anything quotable, let alone come up with any classic ones.
