If this was the other way round there would have been hundreds of threads already.

Hearn has been called on his bull****

Wow. This is huge! If someone is willing to back Wilder with that kind of money, no way that Hearn leaves his meeting tomorrow disappointed.

Edit: According to Dan Rafael, the offer is 50-50 with a $50m guarantee for Joshua.

It would be madness to turn that down if true. I don't think any boxer has ever been offered anywhere close to a $50m guarantee.

If Wilder really does have the money, you gotta wonder where he got it from or where he's been hiding it. His purses certainly never indicated his team had a spare $50 million to throw around like that. The possibilities are endless.

    Btw, here's an update...

Heavyweight world titleholder Deontay Wilder and his team made a counter offer via email to unified titlist Anthony Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, on Wednesday for a much-anticipated undisputed championship fight, Shelly Finkel, one of Wilder’s managers, told ESPN. Finkel said they offered Joshua and Hearn $50 million against 50 percent of revenue the event would generate, meaning Joshua’s side would make no less than $50 million and could earn much more if the fight generates the $100 million Finkel said Team Wilder believes it can. Finkel said the offer contains no rematch clause and that it stipulates that the fight be next for each man and take place between September and December at a site of Wilder's choosing. The offer was a counter to the $12.5 million flat fee Hearn offered Wilder earlier this month.

Lou DiBella explaining Deontay Wilder's offer to Anthony Joshua: "If the fight does $40m, then he still gets $50m. If it does $200m, he gets $100m. It's $50m guaranteed. Let's see who wants to make the fight." [@*******]

    Lol this is BS.

So both earn $50 mil guaranteed.

Just to clarify Mayweather never earned $50 mil guaranteed other than on the Paquiao and McGregor fights.

This offer maybe Genuine but someone is prepared to lose a lot of money

Eddie Hearn: "But ... but ... but ... there needs to be a rematch clause ... it has to be in the UK ... because ... because ... we call the shots!"

"According to the deposition of Michael Ring, Waddell & Reed’s Media Group Holdings (MGH) made a capital investment of $585 million into Haymon Holdings – the entity that wholly owns Haymon Sports which in-turn runs the operations of the PBC." From 2017.

I bet Haymon still has some of that Waddell and Reed money left over. A Wilder-Joshua fight would be a great investment for Haymon Holdings.

Also, there aren't any other big heavyweight fights that can be made at the moment. Even if Haymon doesn't bankroll the event I bet investors are lining up, since the earning potential of the event could be huge and it would be a great place to advertise.
