These dudes do not want to see Joshua in the ring with Wilder. Now all of sudden people want to know about money sources and escrow accounts. People acting as if the money for fights now come out of the fighters pockets.

When you make a guaranteed offer, that implies cash in hand. The money is guaran ****ing teed, ie. its not floating out there in the ether. It doesn't need to be raised. Duh.

The reason for the incredulous reaction from posters on this is simple, Wilder isn't exactly in a position to offer these this type of amount, so some are skeptical.

Because it's not a legit deal and if it were there would be bank statements or some proof of who's financially backing the fight with an actual contract.

Hearn cannot agree to a verbal e mail or sign the e mail from Wilder...lol

This charade was done to try and get Wilder a bigger purse but it's not about money?

the key here is a today deadline but a meeting tomorrow, which directly showed Finkel/ Haymon intentions here and that's make a 2019 fight it he's actually got 50 million of a phantom offer so far...

Can you provide some examples of a fighter not receiving what they signed for from Haymon/Showtime?

Well I don't believe Wilder will be scratching a personal check to Hearn, so I think Wilder's position financially is irrelevant. If Vegas, Showtime, and Haymon want the fight, the $50 million isn't an issue. If promoted correctly this fight can make a killing...two active, well built, knock out producing Heavyweights fighting for the undisputed HW title will sell.

True. There's no good reason this fight should not be huge. The HW division needs it badly.

So whats the latest? Im hearing the offer was for 50 million but it could rise, they had 24 hours to accept it but they had to accept it without being told anything about the actual fight or anyting. That ends tonight and they have cancelled tomorrows meeting too. Were they just looking for a verbal agreement? If so whats the point of the 24 hour thing? Why cancel that meeting tomorrow?

What the hells going on? Im getting very suspicious of their actual intent. Very unusual behavour from people who are not new to this.

My best guess is that both sides have already known for weeks that Wilder-Joshua won't be next, so they plotted to have a "public" negotiation where they can get fans arguing over stupid things like purse splits in hopes of hyping the fight up some time down the road, where they embrace the Floyd-Pac model of procrastination.
