Miller 305 pounds...

Duhaupas isn't a small guy but he like to slug it out. Which favors Miller tremendously. I actually think the Duhaupas who boxed well from the backfoot(see Charr and Teper) would have a chance at a heavy Miller. But not with the brawling style that he's adopted lately.

 

Miller will probably lumber to some form of victory here, but he looks terrible.

 

I agree completely.

Going forward, Miller will have to be matched carefully.

Anyone with decent movement and a mediocre jab could beat him.

But anyone looking to slug with him will face problems.

As you said, Duhaupas has the potential to play smart and win, but he'll likely try to brawl, which will go terribly.

Cro Cop was able to tie him up on the inside and old man him in 2 fights. Miller definitely has something with his toughness, size and relentless pressure but the added bulk will come back to haunt him as he steps up in class. In a fight with Wilder and Joshua he wouldn't have a ghost of a chance at those weights, but 245-260 he'd have an outside one.

 

Miller is gonna steamroll him.

 

Perhaps. I personally just don't think he's good enough for Wilder or AJ no matter his weight.

There are enough conventional fighters for my tastes. I'd like to see if he can do something novel with his massive weight advantage.

 

There is the definate chance of an upset here

Johann Duhaupas is under rated and has the better skillset than Miller. Miller is coming in at a career heavy weight, which is never a good sign for any HW.

Miller is only just stepping up in levels so he could be exposed

 

Miller is trash, Duhaupas for the upset as long as he boxes and goes for the KO in the later rounds

I'd be surprised if he manages to visibly hurt Duhaupas and even more surprised if Duhaupas quits on his stool.

But if he does stop the durable pastry chef I will not complain since that is yet again another dent on Wilder's record.

 

Miller looked good on the pads.
But Duhaupas would have beat Miller last time out. He was just too slow.

 

That seems really heavy, although to be fair he is 200lb lighter than my mother in law, I am sensing a controversial decision for Miller.

I hope Miller wins and wins well, I like him.
