When will the WBC get hold to account?

Really this is a American regional organisation now..

The WBC only want American champions and is slowly weeding the Europeans and Asians out..

Can’t be worse than the WBA mess when you just had Danny lose his regular title against the super title holder then the regular title is then won by Murata and then you sanction DJ vs JMW for the mandatory position vs the Super Champ.. what about the regular champ???

And they said they were gonna eliminate belts but gave Matthyse the regular belt at 147

You’re correct.. in all honesty the IBF have been the most consistent with following their own rules in the past 10 yrs

 

Never, there is nobody above them to do anything about anything. Outside of the ring this sport is lawless, the organisations are money sponges, will happily take bribes off promoters, the WBC is clearly the worst of the bunch with quesitonable stuff happening in a number of divisions where their belt is concerned. They have their own best interests at heart, couldnt give a monkeys about fans or the integrity of the sport.

Yes and it’s getting worse imo,so many fights now are just rigged imo or corrupt with bad judges and Refs.
I swear at times I hate this sport.

 

Prestige isn't something that is conferred and retained in perpetuity. It's reliant upon one's actions and the effects those actions have on the people it relates to. To a certain degree all the governing bodies are safe from the public at large, as world championships are world championships regardless of the governing body involved, but by that same token no one really cares which is the most prestigious of the orgs either. It's to those closer to the orgs that reputation and prestige begins to matter, and in that respect the WBC has rapidly lost a lot of ground with some of its recent actions.

At heavyweight in particular no one really guns for the WBC championship as there's no money in it, and the rules for eligibility are so clearly made up and biased in favour of North American fighters that the whole thing becomes like a rigged lottery. Given the lack of money, the lack of public or network interest, and the lack of respect the events garner, the 'prestige' of fighting for the WBC HW championship suddenly becomes quite meaningless and hollow.

 

WBC, stands for corruption! Ryabinskiy won the purse bid to fight Wilder, then VADA made a mistake, or Povetkin was framed, but VADA cleared Povetkin, yet Haymon's WBC cancelled the fight! He did not want Povetkin to knock Wilder out! Povetkin was also found innocent in court......................now Povetkin deserves to fight Wilder, not Haymon's hand picked fighter Breazeale who was knocked out by Joshua. Povetkin also deserves to fight Joshua. Povetkin was declared not guilty, and it was found that he did not take meldonium after its official prohibition that started January 1, 2016.

 

The WBC really is trying to make sure they are this decade's worst and most corrupt sanctioning body, despite the WBA's strong competition for that crown.
At least they're dedicated.
