Jones would have too much speed. But with his chin, Jones could get stopped but I don't think GGG gets a KO shot in on him.

It depends how highly you rate Roys athleticism and his reflexes in his prime at MW.

In many of his fights he was able to use those strengths to dominate his opponents. When he went up to HW and then dropped down and lost some speed and reflexes he starting getting Iced regularly.

Even though he has both a green Hopkins and James Toney on his record at MW, this doesnt necessarily mean that he would have beaten GGG.

GGG is unbeaten and has beaten the absolute elite at MW. He won his biggest fight against Canelo in convincing fashion but was jobbed by dodgy judges.

This would be too close for me to be able to judge either way.

IMO Roy's reflexes were far too superhuman. Roy by UD.

It would have been a mega fight: RJJ's ridiculous speed and skills against GGG's relentless pressure and chin. I find it hard to pick a winner too. I'll say Golovkin because I think his chin and jab might be the edge he needs, but, honestly, if Jones won nobody would be surprised.

Roy would have to overcome his loss to VADA first.

    Jones, and easy.

They are levels, worlds, and dimensions apart.

Hopkins had more pro fights than Jones did when they fought the first time. If anything, both were green. Still a very good win. Toney was pound for pound when Jones beat him. I don't think anyone on G's resume compares to a young Hopkins or a prime Toney. Canelo, at 160, gets destroyed by the James Toney and Hopkins, Jones beat. I doubt anyone can argue this!

It has to be RJ Jnr...he was & is amazing...who really came near him in his prime...& I am a Toney fan!
