The point is that Frank Warren and Tunde have repeatedly ruled out boxing the likes of Burton and Johnson because Yarde is “above British level” and because he has a high world ranking. So if he’s going to duck world champions, fight Johnson *****.

 

At least they don't lie about the reason. I respect that.

Yarde is a idiot if he moves onto World Level when he's not actually tested against the best in Britain.

I think Yarde can beat Buglioni right now. If I was managing him I'd go this route to see exactly where' he's at

Vs European Journeyman
Vs Hosea Burton
Vs Callum Johnson

Winner of Johnson should start making that climb to World Level. I favour Johnson right now but if Yarde beats Burton & Buglioni I think he makes a case for winning vs Johnson especially if he looks good, enough to make it 50/50 on paper for sure.

Now Frank warren is managing him so it won't play out like that, expect Yarde to fight Buglioni and 4-5 European Journeymen whilst they wait for a belt to become vacant or a weak Champion to appear.

 

To be fair, that is a hell of a step up for Yarde. He's probably at least three fights away from that type of fight still. You can't go from fighting bums and domestic level guys to top tier like that with no step ups in between. Yarde may drown, we don't know if he can swim yet.
