If the fight would have been judged correctly and off of numbers. Mayweather took the loss he deserved, how would it have changed his career?
I had Floyd by 2 points, but wouldn't of had a problem with Castillo getting the nod. It was a close, competitive fight.
Floyd never becomes the draw that he became. His popularity is based solely on his 0 and people wanting to see him officially lose. Castillo (clear L for Floyd) ODLH (narrow win for Floyd) Maidana (win for Marcos; best case is a draw for Floyd) Pacquiao (close win for Pac or NC for Floyd for his IV abuse)
I had Floyd just eking it out against Castillo. Yeah it was really close tight affair and I can definitely see an argument for scoring it the other way, albeit not quite as a convincing one as scoring it for Floyd. I thought both fighters fought well and deserve a lot of credit for being able to push each other so hard. Good fight but Floyd just nicked it IMO. Wait, what? You guys are talking about Floyd vs Castillo I? Oh my bad I thought you mean't the rematch. Yeah I had Castillo winning the first one for sure.
Those who claim robbery. Please post your rounds. If you gave Castillo any of the first 5 rounds. You’re already jacked up.
He would have been a greater fighter because he'd no longer have to worry about losing his 0. He would have taken more risks with his opponent selection and inside the ring. But he wouldn't have been as big a draw because his entire marketing scheme was designed around him being undefeated. So in short, he'd be a smaller draw, but greater fighter.
Floyd really should have 4 losses & 1 Nocontest Maidana 1 Lost Castillo 1 Lost Ortiz Should have lost by DQ Do you really think Cortez would have counted out Floyd in a reverse situation? Judah Should have been DQ;d when Roger jumped in ring & attacked Judah He owes his 0 to CORRUPTION
Annihilated? I don't ever recall PBF being hurt or knocked down against JLC also the also time I checked he was 2-0 against him. The better question is, did you cry when PBF retired 50-0-0 the best fighter of the era and you never got to see him humbled in the ring?
The first fight was extremely close. I think I had it a draw last time I watched, I won't argue with anyone who had it close either way. However it doesn't really matter, the rematch settled it.
If the order of the results were reversed, would it also have settle the matter? A third fight would have settled in the matter order to break the draw of one fight each..
