C-Theory: Dempsey fought Jack Johnson in Canada December 11, 1921.
1. Newspaper called The Brooklyn “Daily Eagle” made the claim
2. a scanned article from an extinct newspaper called FightBeat in 1985. made the claim
3. Lew Eskin, boxing historian & editor of magazine “Boxing Illustrated”. made the claim
4. Ray Pearson an actual writer also made the claim
5. While Tex Rickard said he would never promote a HW fight with a black man -due to racist reaction when Johnson did become HW...he had a co-promoter Doc Kearn, who was known to promote underground fights. As boxing was still barbaric. Rickard changed that image.
6. Both Dempsey & Johnson have no alibis -to claim being anywhere else & at the time both had boxed in Canada- the place where they supposedly met.
7. Supposed illigitimate son of Demspey wrote a play called "Hoopla" depciting the fight, which Dempsey won by KO in the 7th.
8. Before Lew Eskin passed he himself wrote that when he confronted an elder Dempsey if it occurred- Jack said "now isn't the time"
9. The Brooklyn Eagle paper verified a copy of a telegram was sent to the sporting editor of the Saskatoon Star in Canada mentioning it.
10. The claim for secrecy was that A. not pay taxes, B. Canada didn't have the serious race issues America had. C. until the 1920s a lot of illegal match making occurs.

I don't like CBS but this covers most of it but also If you look deeper the way Gatti died does not suggest suicide. AG had Blount trauma to the back of his head and a struggle is evident

If you really look into it the picture is crystal clear

 

Gatti allegedly hung himself with a belt on a stair case. US investigators said it is near impossible to replicate. Overwhelming amount of evidence there was a struggle but for some reason Brazil isn't allowed to re-open the case!
