Murray has proven to be worse than 40+ Sam Soliman , Daniel Geale , Eubanks Jr , Piotr Wilczewski , Miguel Cotto , Robert Stigletz and Gabe Rosado.
He proved to be no better than Paul freakin Smith and Willbeforce Shihepo.

Its all coulds and ifs with Murray. If he was any good he would have won at least one of those fights , but in reality we saw he's barely on the same level as 154 pound fringe contender Rosado.

Eastmans accomplishments- winning more British , commonwealth and European titles than Murray is better than losing close fights. Murray was never even a European champ , Eastman was Euro champion for 6 years.
Eastman was signed up by Don King for being such a respected euro level champion. No US promoter ever had any interest in Murray.

I know its hard for a GGG fan knowing that Murray is top 5 win , whereas Eastman is barely brought up as a good Hopkins win despite being a better opponent than Murray.
As i said already , Eastman is not a great win , but he's certainly better than Martin Murray.

First and foremost, I don't consider Murray to be a top 5 win for Golovkin. I consider Canelo (yes I thought that was a clear victory), Jacobs, Lemieux, Geale, and you can make the argument for Macklin, Rubio, even Brook (based off name value) as better wins. Murray is right around that 5th spot for me.

The argument is Murray vs. Eastman. I think it's a decently solid comparison. I think Murray is a better fighter. He could certainly end your argument if he beats BJS. Like I said, I know he got the loss, but those 3 fights he lost are all controversial. They were all on the opponents home soil too. The guy is a damn good fighter. He's fought for a world title many times, but yes he's come up short. Just like Eastman.

As usual one of life absolute losers denigrating the achievements of a really Gritty , true proffesional, a guy who never ducked anyone, including GGG when all the other so called elite fighters were leaping of cliffs like lemmings to avoid him. This guy Murray is a real fighter sonny.
One more issue tosser, your list of fighters , how dare you put that cretin Eubanks Jnr along side a true champ & professional
Cotto ...no idea at all! You never fail to embarrass your self

Murray is not going to win a round against Saunders and I doubt he would beat Eastman either. I reckon Eubanks Jr would beat Murray from pillar to post.

Its not just that he lost to those guys , its also about how other guys came in and completely out performed him against the same opponents.
Its really saying something that he lost against an Abraham two years on from his epic struggle against Wilberforce - a guy i had never heard of before and haven't heard of since.

There is not a HUGE difference between either resumes, however GGG still has time to better it, Canelo rematch, Saunder's and the winner of WBSS at 168 would be enough for me to say he top's hopkins convincingly. Canelo is prime, saunders is prime, Groves if he wins imo is still prime, smith prime. Those fights are all legit high level wins. if he wins. Smash up degale to unify 168, and if you want to go down as an all time living legend, move up to 175 and try and become a 3 division champion. That would be beyond epic. This is the type of stuff i want to see fighters do, not just stay in one divison forever smash up a bunch of c class fighters and have a few close fights with the other real top fighters.
