Groves OUT of WBSS final - Eubank rumoured replacement

dislocated shoulder is unfortunately pretty serious for a boxer. i really hope it isnt the case, because he was making light of the injury soon after it happened. but these kind of injuries just dont heal well. also excruciating. fair play to him for how he dealt with it in the fight

 

To be fair I called this one immediately after young CHRIS retired georgie boy in the semis.

There is no better replacement for shot georgie than the man who put him out to pasture.

 

He was wincing in agony in the post fight interview. Which is telling given how much adrenaline would have been in his system.

 

if groves does pull out then Smith is the luckiest fight in the uk because his gonna be the wbss champion with ever having to yet fight a top fighter lol also a great payday lol

I know he lost the groves fight, but at least he entered the tournament at the start.

You can not have a replacement to enter a tournament final without any fights in the the tournament

Smith is a big stationary stiff idiot who was getting pummeled at will by a kickboxer who took the fight on 6 weeks notice.

You're probably the same type of moron who believed Haye was going to blast Bellew out.

I'm not even a fan of Eubank or his style, but he would overwhelm Smith who doesn't have the footwork or ring IQ to do what George Groves did to him.

 

There is no other final that will satisfy other than Groves vs. Smith. The tournament falls apart if Groves isn't in the final.

 

We're do I start with this laughable post lol. If you read the posts I was one of the most vocal on here about how Bellew would stop Haye. Smith battered pillow to post in his la st fight, lol. Smith won fight without getting out of 1st gear. Smith has world class footwork, Jab and is the best close range fighter in the division and would absolutely toy the flat footed, weak punching wild Eubank.

 

I agree the tournament needs Groves. I also believe Callum would be all wrong for Eubank, however I suspect Gallagher would take a defensive approach as per, and if he lets Eubank inside it could be trouble.

Could be truth in this, Eubanks posting videos of him sparring on Snapchat, doubt he'd be doing that without a potential opponent or date coming up.

 

Does Young Christopher deserve the opportunity? No

Does anyone apart from Groves deserve the opportunity? No

Can Young Christopher make the greatest comeback story of 2018 lifting the Ali trophy? Not likely

Would James5000 be hella stoked if Young Christopher was given the chance? Yes!!!!

 

I’d be sort of pleased if Groves had to pull out. I don’t want him rushing back just to appease some people in suits. A dislocated shoulder is a pretty awful injury and in normal circumstances i’m not convinced a fighter would be fully recovered (inc rehab) for at least 9-10 months.

As for the Eubank Jn rumour, it would be laughable to put him back in the final. There are few more viable options that have already been suggested on here.

Sorry @Sephiroth Rising 7 , i’m with @moog on the Smith thing. Obviously, we all have different opinions and as @STEPHEN1990 mentioned the other day, it would be boring if we all had the same opinions.

Groves was too big, too strong and too Savvy for Junior. Smith is even bigger and will bounce his jab off Eubanks head all night.

 

Just for you, I hope he gets in the final now, haha.
