Gennady Golovkin punches almost 3 times as hard as Mayweather did. In a literal sense.

It's not just power that causes KOs though. You have to land your shots flush.

It explains how he was able to knock out heavyweights in sparring whilst treating them like flyweights.

So why wouldn't you read an opening post before commenting in a thread? Seems counter productive. That was part of my confusion.

I addressed it with a reply thus meaning I acknowledged it by default.

Floyd has about 1000 times more skill than Golovkin. For a measuring stick, just watch the Canelo fight. All Golovkin could do was walk forward and miss punches. Floyd toyed Canelo and barely broke a sweat. There’s levels to boxing and standards have fallen.

But to the topic. Golovkin needs two measurements concerning power. When he’s fighting a can, I’m sure it’s how much sports science says. When he fights a top opponent, his power disappears. Very strange phenomenon.

Instead of fighting freak shows, Floyd should face GGG.

They're producing videos for the general public, in America. Of course they're going to use the Imperial System. I'm sure better reasons could be found to question their data than the system of measurement.

GGG doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as a cruiserweight. You seriously think Canelo or fragile jaw Jacobs would go 12 rounds taking punches off a CW? As for LHWs, guys like Kovalev/Stevenson hit much, much harder than GGG. He threw everything but the kitchen sink at welterweight Kell Brook for 6 rounds and couldn't KO him.

I swear there's no fanbase in all of sport that comes out with dumber or more ridiculous claims than these triple G lunatics.

All that power yet Canelo was throwing and landing 3 and shot combos on his ass. All that power and yet chinny Jacobs still ran him close and got in his ass. Funny how that power doesn't seem to have much effect when he steps up his level of comp and isn't fighting no hopers and Junior Middleweights.

The Vanes KO has got these rabid fanboys foaming at the mouth again. Like you say his powers all but disappeared as he's stepped up in class, even against the much smaller Brook.

Yeah because the Mayweather that fought Canelo was the same Canelo that faced GGG. It's not like Canelo had more seasoning by the time he fought Golovkin and also wasn't forced to go down to an unnatural weight.
