It could also be because Yarde was a late starter, has extremely limited amatuer experience, his trainer/manager Tunde for the first time after years of being in the game has a kid stay with him with potential and is being causious and this WBO type route is pretty much the usual and preferred route that Warren takes with most of his kids? As for running from Buglioni, are you joking ? They where chasing that fight with big offers. You can argue about Burton (although I understand why they didn’t take it as they wanted Bug) and Warren came out and said they actually made a counter offer/enquirer to Gallagher about a Johnson fight for later in the year which nobody has denied.
I think Hearn would be happy to make an offer for this fight and even let Buatsi fight on BT if that's what it takes. He knows Buatsi is levels above Yarde and this would be a massive boost to his publicity because Yarde has built up a pretty good following with the casuals. But he also knows that Warren would never let this fight happen even if its on BT. Likewise the Callum Johnson fight

Good Post, I agree. People understand Yarde had limited experience but you cannot possible say he's one of the best in the world then turn down other good British opponents down whilst fighting people that are not even as good as those British level opponents.
exactly, its more warren than yarde, every ifl interview warren says why do we need to fight these british level guys when we have a world ranking, yet they got offered the ibf title fight and declined it
That's a Sky Fight Mate.Buatsi is also signed to AJ Bxing and if you get Joshua, Hearn, Warren, Sky and build up a Mini London Rivalry as both Yarde and Buatsi are from London it can possibly do 02.You saw how they done with Okolie-Chamberlin ? If it's on BT, Hearn will not promote it as his obligation is to get ratings for Sky, not their Main Rivals, and i doubt AJ Bxing will as they are also Sky/Matchroom Affilated.

Exactly m8. Doesn't help fighter as they believe their world class and on quite a few occasions there not British Title level ! Your example is a perfect one and look what happened, he went of rails. We will never know how much of that was because of the fall from grace, thinking he was world class and finding out he wasn't British Title level.
The real questions that need answering: 1. Why isn't Hearn making Buatsi vs Burton? Both Matchroom fighters and Hearn was desperate for Yarde to fight Burton. 2. Why isn't Hearn making Buatsi vs Buglioni? It's a great fight, the experienced Frank vs the up and comer Buatsi. Both Matchroom fighters. 3. Why isn't Hearn making Buatsi vs Johnson? Both Matchroom fighters and a British title fight. Yet I'm supposed to believe that Buatsi wants to jump in the ring with Yarde all of a sudden? When he's not even fighting any of the Matchroom lads who you'd imagine would be easy to get done?
Buatsi hasn't earned that York Hall payday yet, why should Yarde give it to him? He needs to face Usyk or Joshua next.
