Warrington was like them dirty rag head taliban. On the purest cocaine or whatever just kept coming with no concern at all as to what is coming at them. Walked right through Selby there and didn’t slow down. Wow. Well done.
I will say though, Lee Selby looked badly weight drained there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he moves up now.
Selby looked terrible though lets be honest. Terrible tactics, looked slow amd backed up in straight lines, all the things I wasnt expecting him to do. He was winning the first minute of the early rounds just jabbing, then he starts to try and land too much and got countered and mauled. No idea why he just doesnt jab and then wait for Warrington to launch an attack, can see it coming then. He played right into Warringtons hands trying to go for too much.
Oh dear....all about levels, seen people on here in the last 2 weeks pick Haye and Selby by k.o easy fights......should get off this forum......levels
Called it as a split decision for Warrington - but it was no home cooking. He deserved it. Work rate and non-stop pressure was better than the occasional flash of classy work from Selby. Great win.
Very poor from Selby. Got bullied in there tonight. Couldn't keep Warrington off him. Warrington showed a few wrinkles tonight although he is fairly crude at time. Fought in spurts and didn't smother his work. I have to say Frampton would have outclassed Selby from the looks of things tonight
I called this one completely wrong, was expecting Selby to completely outclass Josh. What the judge scoring it for Selby was watching I’ve no idea. I scored it 9-3 Warrington. Selby looked slow in thought and reflex. I suspect a horrible weight cut.
Two closed stands and miles away from the action in the big stand - pointless sticking these non super fights in stadiums.
