The Titanic show was in September though I was at it and it was absolutely freezing!

Yep great post! Agree with the above, particularly your point on Warrington's movement. To add to that I thought his defense was much better than I thought he was capable of. I was ringside and don't really remember Lee catching him with anything really clean unless it was a body shot. Warrington also kept catching him with the counter right hand after blocking or slipping Lee's attacks. Thought it was a good fight with Josh also showing more power than I thought he had, rocked Selby plenty of times. Warrington vs Frampton if it was to happen now in Leeds would be great and I'd favour Carl but Warrington certainly can't be completely written off. I think he showed that he's much better than anyone every gave him credit for. Specifically his defence

Naz would have taken the pair out inside a round in his hey day

Have to say I really enjoyed that fight! I'd suffered through the undercard, which included a farcical timing error on Nicola Adams fight and a total washout in the Catterall Sebrire fight. The main event however was very entertaining. I take your point about a lack of quality but Warrington's passion and heart made up for any technical deficiencies, at least for my uneducated eye. I think you're right about Frampton, he's a level above Selby at his best in my view and certainly the Selby we saw on Saturday.

I was shivering there too. Took a week to thaw the wife out! Even Wee Barry stopped by to commiserate with her about the cold that night. Boxing is an indoor sport for a reason....and Ireland ain't Spain!

I'm being. A bit tongue in cheek holler. Yes it was entertaining ...but Josh tends to generate more heat than light if you get me. His youth sixpence and fitness might trouble Frampton for a while but Frampton is quality all the way and would be too much for Josh IMO. :)

Len ur in denial mate. u know theres a new kid on the block, this kid gave the man (selby) who you alluded to in the past would beat carl, josh gave lee a near on schooling.
Listen mate, carl is a very skilled fighter but he certainly isnt unbeatable as has already been shown. Now imo he has also weaknesses and this was also shown in lsc 2.
Carl isnt as as good at fw as he was at sbw and that vid u showed with jamie moore, well josh has been doing that work for the past 5 yr, thats why he comes in such incredible shape. Carl has got a lot of catching up to do in that dept lol.

I tell u something mate, joshs dad, who i know well from the boxing scene in leeds, told me over a year ago that hed rather fight carl than lee, so he sees carl as an easier task.
If the fight happens it would happen in leeds defo not belfast as leeds holds a lot more and would generate more money. Carl is 31 yrs now and we can add at least another yr onto that by the time they meet. He would be closer to 33yr by then. Josh would be 28.
Also carl has been in some tough fights and should he meet valdez that would be another war.
Sorry pal, josh will beat carl when they meet.

Hopefully the next highest featherweight in the IBF rankings (Galahad) will soon become Warrington's mandatory.

styles . and physiques ...make fights. A fresh Selby was all wrong for Carl and I said so. (lb 4 lb Carl ranks far higher obviously).
Warrys workrate and fitness is exceptional, true. But he is feather-fisted. He couldnt knock snow off a rope. Just like Selby. Carl can crack - Josh will find that out fast if they meet. He wil be getting hit with sharp counters all night. We'll see how his workrate drops then.
I wouldnt take any notice of what fathers say about their boxer sons!
Josh might never get to face Carl - Josh might lose at any time. He is unproven.

The only thing he hammered Lee with was his head! That was a feather fisted performance. Lee was washed up at 126 pounds - killed from making the weight and before that Josh barely scraped past a beyond-shot Kiko Martnez. Those are his 2 best wins. Im sorry - Unproven.

Kiko was no where near shot, come on. If u are saying kiko was shot then donaire is also shot.
Lee was no more washed up on sat than he has been since he won the title.
So i take ur saying that since ur prediction that lee was going to beat josh, and since the ramirez fight, lee has become washed up.
Come on mate give credit where its due. That lee selby was the same one weve had since he became a world champ. He looked different in this fight because contrary to public opinion, josh did get into his head he then went on to beat him fair n square.

He was in the right place at the right time Maley. Is in the ring with a punchless champion who was drained to death. Perfect conditions for Josh to look good.
What more can I ask? I ask him to fight Frampton in August!
    Face a fresher, harder hitter.
    Now that would impress me.
