Just read an article on here that implies AJ is stalling and coming up with a NEW set of demands. Whats your opinions ??? When someone is bringing a £50,000,000 cheque minimum to you for a fight, you don't really have any deal breaking demands do you? Is AJ flapping ????

Stalling was his game plan in his last two fights, so that’s pretty much his nature, right?

From what I am reading it's the finer points of the deal that are being examined, discussed and negotiated.

I expect this fight to happen this year but I have a feeling it might be end of the year, both might squeeze in a fight before, Joshua Vs Povetkin and Wilder Vs Breazeale, maybe even on the same bill in the US or UK, depending where the fight will take place.

That probably suits Hearn and his big deal he just signed, Hearn might have signed that deal with a promise of an AJ fight or two, so there are lots of little things to iron out.

Also a lot of this is just negotiations, mind games, all that A-Side Vs B-Side rubbish that irritates me but is a part of boxing now.

It will happen because it has to happen, far too much money involved for it not to happen but we just have to be patient and not overreact to every little piece of information we get or some shady quote.

    I think he is.
Moving the goalposts, looks like Floyd style a-side tactics. He doesn't need Wilder, he can make a lot of money without him while taking less risks.

Yeah, could be, I wouldn't rule out Hearn or AJ having second thoughts.

Also somebody mentioned this Hearn "billion dollar deal" and how much Joshua could earn fighting on this new platform.

Because I'm assuming if Joshua has run his contract down with Hearn, he has also run down any agreement with Sky Sports.

Hearn said there will be announcement soon regarding AJ and his contract with Matchroom, it could be an announcement that AJ is getting a big slice of this new deal.

So you could be right, they might be thinking long term and weighing up the risks, if they lose those belts and AJ's 0 then Joshua loses quite a lot of his appeal and has no claim on being number 1.

somebody might correct me and tell me what AJ has signed with Matchroom/Sky and how that all works and it might have nothing to do with it but it's an interesting theory.

i don't believe he has any agreement with Sky, he's a Matchroom fighter (he's set to sign a new 3-fight deal) and matchroom's broadcaster is Sky.

Yeah I understand what you're saying..

But could it depends on what "Matchroom" he signs with, the US Matchroom? Same company but no exclusive deal with Sky?

i assume it wouldnt make difference. He's already said hes putting Katie Taylor and Joshua Buatsi on a Matchroom USA show, and hes brought Yeleussinov over to UK for a show. As for the Matchroom agreement with Sky, Sky are showing all 16 of the US shows, iirc

This is the problem with Wilder haters and Joshua bum boys. They are so blinded by their hatred of Wilder and fanboydom of Joshua that they will just completely distort reality to suit their agenda.

It's very simple how this has gone down:

    (1) Joshua made his demand ($50m and he'll sign)
    (2) Wilder discussed that with his team and came up with that offer precisely ($50m)
    (3) Joshua now squirming like a ***** and pulling barriers out of his arse (has to be in UK etc).

Quite clearly the big bodybuilder spastic has had his bluff called.
