I could disect RingKing's Contradiction filled post...but what for.
This type of thread has been done a billion times, it's old already.
De La Hoya has defeated over a dozen world champions and has won ten world titles in six different weight classes. Deal with it. And a Gold Medal to boot.

What I mean is that Tito Trinidad has an impressive record as well. Not only did Trinidad beat De La Hoya, he had defeated Campas and Vargas (former DLH opponents) while they were undefeated. He had taken on "all-comers". He was the one to go up to MW and fight Hopkins. De La Hoya has been chasing Trinidad for years ... and thinking he could beat Mayweather was going to erase his loss to Trinidad. But this my opinion and view of De La Hoya's actions.

'world champions' is a petty assumption in the world of boxing and you know it.

are you saying you're not going to put your balls on the line...or that you know they'll be pulled down?

i have an awful lot of respect for oscar for the choices he made in his career. but the truth is he made some of them for the sake of cash and he wasn't good enough to break through.

my first live fight was oscar - camacho and i loved it, but the truth is it wasn't a true reflection on how good oscar was.

now you can either put yourself on the line or clam up. that's it.

    i'm not anit-oscar, but i'm a realist.

Search the millions of threads already with this same argument in it..
and satisfy yourself with your own findings.
De La Hoya's accomplishment's stand alone. :deal

even at 35 is the top draw in Boxing.

you haven't read my post. read it again and tell me where you think i went wrong.

i don't think you will because you're a salesman (statistics) rather than telling me why you think i'm wrong.

    he's not 'great'.

he's hall of fame if you understand his accomplishments.

Damn right. The man has lost all the big ones. And now he wants (or wanted) to fight Hatton for the dough... a man who fights naturally at least 15 pounds below him.

    DLH sucks.
