As a fan of both Canelo and Golovkin I'm still hoping the rematch can be made instead especially now Golovkin has said he's renegade from 50/50.

Maybe it does happen.
Many people would expect this to be the 2nd toughest opponent for Canelo, but as long as he stays on his feet he'll probably get the nod anyway.

Jacobs high risk low reward, Canelo/GBP are riding pretty low. Canelo needs to build some momentum after all the recent drama.

Canelo-Jacobs is almost guaranteed a super tight decision fight. GBP is looking for a Kirkland KO like Spike or DL. Casual fans watch boxing for spectacular KO's. It's the perfect rebound for Canelo

 

I'd be shocked if it comes together for his first fight back to be honest, but I'd sure like to see it.
