Any news on who Joyce is facing on June 15th? With 2 weeks notice I'm guessing this will be a keep busy fight, who out their has a respectable paper thin winning record that he can fight?
joyce is fighting a "6ft 5" fighter in good shape with only 1 loss", announced tomorrow. any idea who it could be?
http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/640243 1 loss...6'5...Classic commonwealth fight vs Teak Tough Ghanaian. Has to be, right? Plus the guy just pulled out of a fight against Junior Fa in New Zealand yesterday... I'd put money on it.
Suppose he they needs to keep him active but with the WSB experience he has, how much is he going to gain fighting a guy who has only fought 3 opponents with winning records one of which was a loss?
Yeah he fights every couple of months, and has fought some decent fighters in that time...don’t see what more they could do?!
Haye tried to make the Chisora fight, a great fan friendly fight and decent six figures for Chisora. On an undercard I don’t know what else Haye and Ringstar could do. They’ve done a decent job and hopefully Joyce can be made mandatory for Fury’s British and that fight can go to purse bids.
Literally rolling around on the floor laughing at that suggestion. Hughie has turned down every single moderate challenge put to him other than Parker in the past 4 years, and is a ducker. No way does he go anywhere near the most dangerous up coming new HW Joyce. Joyce knocks Hughie out in my opinion. What will happen is that Hughie will drop the British as soon as a moderately decent fighter becomes the mandatory and will go back to fighting Hungarian cab drivers and Lithuanian body builders.
They don’t have the dates or the stable to support him. A 3 fight card at the o2 with MVP? A York Hall card with who else on it? He’d get a lot more exposure on a nextgen card, never mind the Saturday night fight nights and box office fights. Frank has just had Elland Road, Belfast coming up, o2 coming up, Windsor Park etc. Them and the matchroom shows are what Joyce needs to be on. He’s no spring chicken. He needs to get out there and moving at a rapid pace. Good opponents on good shows, frequently.
Joyce is commonwealth champion and ranked 54 in the world after 4 fights. That's good development for me.
http://boxrec.com/en/event/770326 Is he best served being on shows like that or Matchroom/Warren shows?
