What did you think of Parker that night? How did you score the fight?

im still not convinced by whyte, talks a lot but is fairly basic and hardly seems well conditioned. however he smashed browne and i didnt expect that. i think this will show whether he has actually improved or whether browne was just dead meat in the ring that night.

Browne was shot no doubt, a bit like the LL Razor Ruddock fight, Rudduck was shot to hell and made LL look great.

Looks like Sky and Eh Day are really rogering the PPV mugs for this Marks & Spencer World Title Belt.

After Bellew winning the Bugs Bunny British Title against Cripple Toe, think the UK boxthing bisthness has sunk to a new low with this turd.

The boxing equivalent of England v Costa Reeking on PPV tonight

thats how i see it also, browne was horrible and shouldnt have been in there at all. IF whyte beats parker then ill be a believer, but i think he will struggle against parker in an ugly fight. a decent match up though even if it might not be great to watch, both could have taken easier routes.

    Absolutely.

But if whyte does pull it off, "I don't think he will" then he is in a great position and gets a chance to get AJ back in there, something somebody is trying to avoid at all costs, a bit like the Khan Brook scenario...

Whyte is always offered fights that AJ doesn't want and somebody wants Whyte to beat them so AJ can do the usual you got beat by dillian BS...

    Tick Tock for AJ...

    Correction to the OP comment.

Parker has stunk the house out for 3 fights on the bounce now.

He couldn’t even look good against Cojanu. He didn’t look good against Hughie, who ran. He did nothing other than ballet dance against AJ, in survival mode.

Parker brings ZERO excitement to the table. I would have rather seen Whyte against virtually anybody other than Parker. I can only think of Hughie Fury as being a more boring active HW than him.

To be fair there were extenuating circumstances with Parker's last two fights.

With Fury/Parker, Fury is so awkward that he is going to make most fights look bad as he tries to keep the fight from distance. And against AJ, well, every time the fight looked like it might develop into an actual fight the referee intervened (guess he doesn't like violence in a boxing ring), so it was gonna be difficult for Parker in both fights as he wasn't able to fight the inside too readily for different reasons.

I posted this in the General Forum, and I think it's a tough fight to call.

I had jaded Chisora beating Whyte by a round but can't really argue the result. I thought Whyte looked average against a very shot Helenius and the Lucas Browne result is tarnished by the inactivity, shocking physical condition and revelation Browne was on depression medication.

As for Parker, where's his power gone? No sign of it at all above NZ domestic small show level. Struggled with Takam, Ruiz and Fury and although I hated the negative jab/run performance, I expected Fury to get the decision in the UK. As for the AJ fight, I think the Italian ref hurt Joshua's chances of a stoppage more than Parkers.

Both are possibly considerered to be better than they actually are but it makes for an interesting match up, and this far out I'm leaning with Parker by decision. Props to them both for taking the fight though.
