This a pretty competitive card. I can see a lot of fights going either way. Whittaker/Romero II - Confident that Whittaker takes it but Romero can't be counted out either Covington/Dos Anjos - Covington does seem to be tough if nothing else in addition to his high workrate. Could he outlast RDA and win via close upset decision? Maybe. Holm vs. Anderson - Anderson has size and some kickboxing chops by the look of things. But is she in over her head with this quantum leap step in competition. Or will father time finally catch up to Holm? Arlovski/Tuivasa - It seems that the writing may be on the wall here and that Arlovski is being fed to the surging Tuivasa and will suffer another KO1 defeat - But will he? This is a massive step in competition for Tuivasa and if Arlovski can fight smart and remain vertical early his experience and all around skillet might be too much for the young Australian HW hopeful. Overeem/Blaydes - Overeem is a slight dog here but this is a fight that he can definitely win. Blaydes was out on his feet against a 43 year old Hunt in his last fight. If Overeem paces himself and doesn't get too crazy should he hurt Blaydes the KO could come to him.
a lot of other near 50/50 or competitive fights on the early prelims as well. Guida/Oliveira, Pettis/Benavidez and Bektic/Lamas . Great card this.
After his dramatic turnaround loss to Darren Elkins, I'm looking forward to seeing what Bektic can do against a Ricardo Lamas. Pettis vs Benavidez could be telling as to how much Joseph Benavidez has slid (if at all) after being out for a while with the knee injury.
