Joe turns down Pavlik Joe will fight Jones!!!!

no ones ducking anyone thats my point. its quite obvious if you actually read what calzaghes said its not the case.

If anyone does ducking it will be Arum putting Pavlik in with Lockett, Duddy and Lorenzo instead of Wright and Calzaghe.

 

..and doesn't calzaghe have a history of ducking...faking injuries...avoiding the best (people in their prime)? :yep

 

Gutted, I wanted to see the Pavlik fight too, I was particularly looking forward to the following threads:

"Pavlik was too green"
"Pavlik was a middleweight"
"Pavlik injured himself in the run up"
"Pavlik had a virus"

All it takes is a decent boxer to face Pavlik and he'll be humanized and humbled, he fights in straight lines and hasn't fought anyone with a game plan. The ONLY decent opponent on his resume is Taylor. Had Taylor been smarter this thread would not exist, the above ones would be in full effect. The second fight showed Pavlik's flaws and showed how to beat him. Which was use speed to box his ears off, sadly for Jermain he doesn't have the stamina or mental fortitude to stick to a plan. When he boxed he easily took rounds off Pavlik. Kessler and Hopkins, both Joe's left overs would beat him easily.

Hope for Kelly that he carries that power and stamina to 168 and beyond, because imo he's not got the frame to carry extra lbs well.

 

Actually he's been down 4 times. Flash knockdown, flash knockdown, glove grazed the canvas, and hurt once. Don't say he was seriously hurt by McKart and Zuniga, that's BS.

I've always wanted RJJ to fight Calzaghe. And for some odd reason, in the UK. I just want to see RJJ get motivated and bring his A game.
