Wow. Now it's not even enough to pass a test to exonerate someone in the PED conspiracy theorist community! Astounding! Me, I could care less about the whole thing. Seriously, who gives a flying **** what any athlete puts in their body. That's their business. Boxers, and other athletes, have been doing thing to get an edge since the beginning of sports. And they always will.
I’m certain Juishua is juicing, no doubt about it, that’s one of the reasons he does not want to fight outside of UK. Wilder knows it , everybody in boxing community prob knows it, but it UK he’s covered. If you think AJ is clean , you either british, dumb , or don’t know much about ped’s and sports in general.
BBC did a documentary where one of their reporters started using PEDS he had an expert guiding him. In a few weeks he had improved massively. So much so he had to stop cycling with his usual team as the difference in his performance was clearly noticeable and he was too embarassed (he didnt tell anyone what he was doing) during this docu he went to Brussels (might have been Brugge) to be tested and passed. He told the guys there what he was on and had been doing and they didnt seem surprised in the slightest. They said they reckon they only catch around 10% of cheats they test. I will try and find a link to it so you can watch for yourself. Edit: it was a Panorama episode called "Catch me if you can". BBC documentary with Mark Daly
Very good post, It’s not as straight forward as that though. . . Most of the athletes who get away with doping only to get caught years later are also rans, unknowns who compete to an average international level. They slip through the net because there’s no focus on them and they aren’t vigorously and consistently tested throughout the year because it’s impossible to do so due to the sheer number of athletes at that level. It’s when they show extraordinary improvements that seemingly come from nowhere that they attract attention and get caught or they rise slowly and start winning which sets them above the pack where the testing agencies take notice. There’s also athletes, like Marion Jones who compete and dope in cycles leading into a major event like the Olympics every 4 years, World Championships every 4 years etc. That type of training/doping cycle makes it easier to manage the doping regime to avoid detection. Joshua is tested randomly all year round by as many as four agencies, it isn’t possible to manage that or mask it with other substances. Yes, doping labs are always trying to stay ahead but even new substances and masking agents can’t hide from 200 tests per year every year.
Yes it was a programme called panorama. They do loads of documentaries this specific episode was called catch me if you can. It was on BBC i player but I don't think it is anymore. More likely find it on YouTube bud
This is actually the closest thing to true in this entire thread. The overwhelming majority of Elite Athletes are using some form of PED's, the chemists and scientists developing these drugs are making obscene amounts of money, and they are always far ahead of the testers. If my livelihood and the ability to feed my family were on the line, I'd do everything I could to give them the life I believe they deserve too.
This. And AJ's problem isn't muscles, it is actually more like he needs less muscles and more skill. The dude really needs to wake up and realize he's not a body builder lol. That BS would have been closer to the truth 5 five years ago, but its silly today. The method of beating testing is not beating testing at all. It's the art of the TUE. TUE's let you use drugs w/o being tested for said drug or it counting against you. Voila, welcome to doping in 2018.
He also probably has access to all the latest designer PEDs. The ones that are so new, they're not even on the banned list yet. Of course, Wilder may also have them. For me, PED's is a non-issue. (Except with Povetkin, who at one point was more chemical than human.) Just get in the ring, already, and get it done.
I hear what you are saying and almost agree !!! However, imo AJs big usage of PEDs is now behind him . He had to bulk up to get where he has because the Heavyweights now are more like Superheavys and the way PEDs work is that although once you 'come off' you can test clean ,you are never really clean as he will have strength and stamina etc that stays with him after the PEDs have long gone...I am sure at one point he' broke/fractured 'his spine and returned 7 months later with 7-8 lbs of extra solid muscle!!!... That said ,if there is 1 Sportsman on the planet that could afford the best chemists to avoid the testers it is AJ...
