Things don't work that way. It's all about popularity and draw power when it comes to purse bids. How many PPVs has Golovkin headlined and how much did he make?. Now compare that with how many Alvarez headlined and how much he made and you will, hopefully yet doubtfully, get an idea. Of course, with all that said, you're too much of a Golovkin fan and most definitely have zero healthy brain cells to make progress in this discussion.

Good for Gennady. He didn’t roll over and have his belly tickled accepting 35% which was basically an insult considering the stuff that transpired after the first fight. He refused 40% as well and got it increased to 42.5. Have a feeling it will be increased to 45 next which should secure the fight. Let Canelo have his 5% to massage his enormous ego.
