So your answer is you don't know that they were slower? I kind of get the feeling that you think I'm disagreeing with everything you're posting, just so you know that isn't the case. I just think Wills has his hands full and Willard would be competitive and that's my two cents in the matter. If I haven't done a very good job of bringing that across then I apologise.
Ok we disagree. You see I think wills-Willard would be no more competitive than wills-Fulton the difference being Willard lasts slightly longer because he’s more durable but still takes a pounding
Ok, well this is a 15 round fantasy fight, not 45 rounds. Over 15 rounds, the fat 37 year old Johnson would have won the decision easily. He couldn’t miss Willard. I happen to think wills at his peak was a much tougher out than that version of Johnson.
I've seen the film. Johnson was old but fat seems to me quite a stretch, unless you mean relative to his prime when he was ripped to shreds and had deltoids like acorns. He certainty looks better to my eye in the Willard fight than any heavyweight version of (say) James Toney.
