Bowe certainly wins with both at their best. Bowe issue was his form and consistency. ****, I'd give Morrison the edge in heart. I'm like John, I pick bowe, but he liked to fire back and go at it, and he could tko'd quick like.

That was a hometown stoppage anyway.

Ruddock was saved from serious brain damage if anything. Hardly a great win, but let's not pretend the fight wouldn't have ended anyways had the ref not stepped in. Ruddock just went down hard from a left hook and was against the ropes eating shots(one in which his head shot back violently) Hardly a terrible stoppage.

Morrison might have some early success like Hide did. But ultimately his chin and stamina issues let him down.

Or Morrison was about to collapse from punching himself out.

Ruddock was on the ropes eating shots after a heavy knockdown. The ref saw his head snap back violently and decided enough was enough. It's been over 20 years. Get over it.

Get over it? No need to be so sensitive. If you have watched boxing for more than 10 minutes you would understand that fighters get knocked down all the time and not only survive but sometimes they comeback to win. Mike Tyson broke his jaw but couldn' t stop him. But hey I don't want to upset you with those details.

I recently rewatched it and scored it a draw. Tommy got lucky. There was no other opponent in the Top Ten the time with whom he could have worked that same strategy. I relied purely on Foreman's concrete feet.

Tommy was gassed and punched out. He was pitty pattying and it wasn't effecting Ruddock anymore. Hell, bounced right up from Tommy's Sunday Best. There was a good chance that if Ruddock was allowed to continue he blasts out a wheezing Morrison. That said, I don't fault the stoppage. It wasn't horrible. But it was a bit lucky.

Exactly. Not to mention a round or two before that Ruddock landed a square hook to the body and Morrison essentially called time out and Lipton saved his ass Gave him a do over. Morrison was stopped by bodypunch.

I viewed it not too long ago. We see that one differently. I didn't think Foreman was effective at all that night.

Morrison may have been spent but It's not a given that Ruddock would have cleared his head enough in just a minute to capitalize in the next round. Look at Ruddock's head snap and how his body reacted n the slowdown. The ref saw that and stopped the fight. Lucky maybe but a reasonable stoppage. It's not a given that Morrison wouldn't have followed up with some lethal shots had the ref not stepped in.

What's up everyone? Been a minute. About that stoppage I couldnt believe the way Razor sprang up after that very aesthetically pleasing left hook the first time I saw the fight. Seemed like Razor could have went on but not a terrible stoppage. I believe Tommy had underrated boxing skills and yes defense: decent head movement. I don't think Bowe would come out super agressive like Lewis did, Bowe and futch would be wary of the big left hook imo. Can't see Bowe getting stopped here though. I can see Bowe getting, rocked, hurt, and even dropped. But Bowe's reach and inside work would be too much. Tommy would have to knock him out in 5, can't see that happening. Bowe has some rocky moments, but wears Tommy down. Bowe TKO 7.
