If JoshuaWilder doesn’t happen next, I wonder who will fight the better quality opposition in the next year.

It is not long now until Wilder moves on and leaves Joshua to rot in the UK with his $20m paydays, sold out national stadiums and 1m+ ppv sales.

Wilder can move forward proving he is the greatest heavyweight on the planet by beating Braezeale, Martin and Kownacki. Well, he will be trying to beat Braezeale, Martin and Kownacki.

Joshua's next few fights would probably be Povetkin, Miller and Whyte/Parker winner. None of those fights would be as anticipated as JoshuaWilder but if that is how things play out who is hurt most by the big fight not happening.

    Idiot.

Why the **** would beating Povetkin, Miller and Parker again be good for AJ? Those are terrible fights. Another old man, a straight up bum and a guy he already beat. None of those fights do anywhere near 1mn PPV and we all know the total gate for a matchroom stadium fight is precisely **** all.

Wilder will keep fighting bums and keep getting paid. His star is on the rise so delaying the fight will only mean AJ gets a worse deal later.

There are only 2 fights out there for AJ right now. Wilder and Fury.

I agree they are by far the 2 biggest fights for Joshua. I happen to think they are unlikely to happen this year. That's the frustrating thing but just because they wont happen doesnt mean Joshua and wilder cannot be in good fights. If Joshua does not do a deal to fight the number 2 in division i would rather he fights number 3 than 15.

Why do you write Joshua in huge caracters? No reason to write Joshua that big, because as he's the subject we know who's it about. And then you put Wilder in small writing for some reason, which looks like some unhealthy bias.

Joshua vs Povetkin is quite the alternative, as it would be Joshua's 2nd best opponent to date (even at his current age).
Wilder vs Pulev, Miller, Parker or Whyte would be quite decent as well.

AJ-Povetkin would be a reasonable fight IMO. As long as AJ stays busy and fights 2-3 times a year they don't all have to be unifications against the best of the best.

Wilder has a few options too and none are anywhere near AJ but I'd still watch and enjoy them all.

    There's just no need for

to lie and say anyone else is ducking or that legit offers are fake. Just come out and say we want the Wilder fight but we're gonna let it sit for another year while we build AJ up more and Wilder does the same. I don't think too many reasonable people would mind hearing that but AJ talked himself into a corner and then

As much as i want the AJ Wilder fight it did seem that it wasnt guna happen till late this year or early next. AJ had Povetkin and Wilder had Breazeale and id be happy with both of them.

Besides Wilder I still see Povetkin as one of Joshuas biggest threats right now. And Wilder v Dom Breazeale. There is beef that needs settling between them so lets get it sorted.

    AJ-Wilder isn't happening next.

Povetkin is probably the next best fight for AJ. Yeah, he's at the end of his career and could get old any time soon but he's still on of the top tier HW's for now

Joshua will knock out Wilder Twice so Wilder won't be seeing any top 10 opponent after Breazeale.

Miller, Whyte, Fury are all reputable names on his resume.

Wilder will fight irrelevant fights as non champion just based on his resume as a champion.

i think it'll take a long time for him to build back up but we'll see, I don't really expect him around after 2022.

I prefer AJ - Povetkin. I think Povetkin > Wilder and that he can beat AJ. If he beats AJ then Wilder has to return to the Povetkin fight he already ran away from. I like the sound of that.

Povetkin, Miller and Parker would be Wilder's best wins

Still got KTFO though didn't he. I wonder how many rounds AJ would win before Wilder KTFO'd him too.

Shame Hearnmo is too scared to put the roid monster in with Wilder for us to find out.
