    You can defend their choices, but while Robinson is the easy winner for the 1940's, I don't think I would go with him for the 1950's. Robinson was kind of in and out that decade. Moore for certain would be a better choice I think, with Marciano possibly deserving the #1 spot for going undefeated and KO'ing Moore.

    I think a good case can be make for Monzon in the 1970's. He was perfect that decade, while Duran lost a fight to DeJesus.

    And why not Barney Ross above Canzoneri in the 1930's. He defeated Tony twice. Plus Joe Louis might be a good call in this decade. He was more consistent than Armstrong.

    Competely agree about the 30s - Louis and Ross should be above Canzoneri at least.

    Robinson in the 50s is kind of like Ali in the 70s. His prime years were in the previous decade but his most memorable victories happened in that era.

    I also thought having Chavez as runner up for the 80s was revisionism. Hagler and Hearns would both be above Chavez. There are probably half a dozen fighters that decade who have as good a claim as Chavez.

    The only pick that I would take serious issue with, is Roy Jones for the 1990s.

    That seems a bit of a stretch to me.

    I think it would be difficult argue that ranking.

    It is debatable but for the decade they are talking about (2000s) I think it's fair to have Pacquiao above Mayweather - just.

    Up to the end of 2009, Pacquiao was proving himself the greater fighter by continually challenging himself.

    To be fair to Floyd, it is very close between them but while Floyd was out of action for 18 months between 2007 and 2009, Pacquiao was busy proving his greatness when the odds were not stacked in his favour - and doing it emphatically as well - and that probably just tips the balance his way.

    I love Pacquiao over Mayweather in the 2000s and I agree with what they said, you gotta fight the best to be the best.
    I want to say I'd rather have Sweet Pea over Roy in the 1990's because Pernell's competition was better, but Jones was basically perfect that decade and Pernell had losses to De La Hoya and Trinidad.

    Good call on Spinks being close to Ray .. And Spinks does take him in the activity dept. in the 80's
