French Twitter tearing in to Dave Allen

    French Twitter has been hilarious in the run up to this Yoka/Allen fight.

    Some French guy uploaded a photo from the stare off at the weigh in featuring a rather rotund Dave Allen in Pokemon shorts. When you translate the caption it says this:

    "Meat, scattered beard and boxer Pikachu.

    Tony Yoka is going to confront David Lafarge Pokemon for his next fight."

    Superb haha. Some of the comments under it when translated included:

    "David Allen The appearances and fantasies on Twitter is by far the toughest opponent of Yoka's career, he has faced Luis Ortiz in particular. After yes physically it is not sharpened; a real showman this David Allen!"

    "Only drunks.. He is two fingers away from proposing the trifle to Depardieu"

    "But it's ridiculous is it a real boxer?"

    "The guy's got cellulite on his gut, it's getting grotesque."

    Ruthless are the French! Ruthless I say!! Poor Dave Allen!

    On to the fight, what's the thoughts?

    I can see a similar ending to the Ortiz/Allen fight with the ref jumping in.

    Didn't really get any of what you was saying...Yoka is going to stop him, rounds 6-10.

    Im bored of Allen now tbh.

    Lol. He didn’t look great at the weigh in, looked like an Athlete next to a fan. I think he gets stopped by the ref or the corner pulls him out. My guess is that his punch resistance is greatly reduced after all the brutal beatings he’s had already so it wouldn’t shock me if he gets floored badly here even if Yoka doesn’t carry that much power.

    You must be an older gentleman who isn't very adept with social media! Lucky you, I say!

    I thought at first it would be an early stoppage but now I'm leaning towards the later rounds with a mercy stoppage.

    Dave sometimes tries to hard to be funny, and that is annoying, but overall I'm still a fan. He has no chance tonight though!

    Lol...yeah i get what your saying. Dave Allen is a likeable bloke but he is rubbish, simple as that.

    I agree with @CutThroatFade. I think his punch resistance will be dramatically reduced, plus the shape he’s in suggests his heart just isn’t in it anymore.

    he's an idiot. he could've just rode along with hearn on undercards fighting at his level and draw in the crowds with his character and it's good for matchroom brand. instead he turns up essentially fat and obviously not been training properly. if you have him on instagram hes constantly uploading ****. he's conciously becoming a journeyman and it's sad cos he's a top guy

    I think yoka has got a really suspect chin but let’s be honest Allen got out boxed by Thomas so don’t think he’s the guy to crack it.

    Yoka can crack and Allen's chin is good but it isnt granite. This lasts no more than 6 rounds. In my opinion Yoka does him in 3 rounds.
