Just seen Martin Bakole beat DL Jones in 1 minute after having him down twice. Was too heavy tonight, but looked class tonight. Great punch variety and power.

Whats peoples thoughts on him ?

Last night never really told us anything about Martin Bokole tbh, I know that Billy rates him highly and I would take his word on it as he is seeing him in the gym day in day out and also when sparring top quality fighters. I just hope that they manage to get him a decent fight soon because no matter how much talent you have it is very difficult to get up for fighting guys that are 2-3 levels below you.

What was wrong with Jones? Looked really strange after he got hit?

Looks the part but needs to be stepped up asap, it's no good fighting guys like Jones when you are levels above him, he will not learn anything and neither will we.

Looking forward to seeing him in with a higher level fighter, looks the part so far but need to see how he is against someone who is hitting back. Agree he came in too heavy last night would like to see him come in about 18 stone
for his next fight, just hope he gets the chance to showcase his skills against a high level opponent!

Agree David. The short left hock he hit Jones with was cracking as he never loaded up at all. It looked like a nothing shot, but it must have been carryimg serious power as Jones never recovered from it. If he can take a shot himself and if he has an engine he will take some stopping. 2 big ifs at this stage though !

That is what I mean when I say he might find it difficult getting up for guys like DL Jones. He has been sparring all of the top professionals and then when you are finally getting a fight date the opponent is not near that level. Billy will look after him and hopefully one of the better domestic guys are willing to take the chance on facing Martin so we can see what he is made of. It might be easier getting him fights against decent European opponents in Germany or Russia. It would be a risk but probably one worth taking.

Martin is an exceptional talent, he has speed, power, movement and skill, by far the most naturally rounded fighter I’ve coached
Forget his fight night inexperience he’s capable of fighting anyone in the world now,
With regards to his jaw he’s been hit with hard shots from AJ and DD and hold a shot excellently

Cyclone only get a few televised bills a year and only have room for 1 headliner and thats obviously Taylor. I wonder if there just using Martin as a good bill filler and dont have the spare money in budget to get him a top opponent. If thats the case it wont help his career. The fact they never had him live on 5 would suggest that. What better way to go live into the main event than a explosive heavyweight on just beforehand ?

Hope he does well. Would be good to see him fight somebody with a pulse in his next 2/3 fights but he looks decent.

To be fair think Billy has been trying to get a top opponent but keeps getting knocked back! Callled loads of people out on twitter! As a side note Martin is some size for a vegan!

Taylor I’m sure will not headline the next cyclone show in Scotland , he will have a world title fight in America. This is why young lee McGregor has been pushed to a title to replace Taylor at the top of the tree

Looks good from what I’ve seen of him, like his lateral movement and has quick hands for his size.

Would like to see him step it up.
