Parker should be too tough, and have too much stamina for Whyte. It will probably go to the scorecards, but I wouldn't rule out a late stoppage if Dillian goes too gung ho , and Joseph comes in good shape.
It's pretty funny that Parker is being seen as an underdog here, I've been pretty on point with all my calls for Parker fights and I think Whyte's threat to Parker is being hugely overestimated. Don't get me wrong, Whyte is dangerous to anyone and things can turn around in any fight - but Parker is looking like he's the most driven, in the best shape, and the most experienced in his career... people who don't rate Parker may get shocked by this one.
On paper this is a nice fight, but it's going to be an incredibly boring fight. Parker is a boring fighter and Whyte is too.
The more i think of this fight the more i think Parker is going to take a dive..imagine how good it will look if Whyte stops Parker, something Joshua couldn't do. They could hype the Joshua/Whyte fight to death then. But then again mabe im just thinking rubbish, ive been kissing Mary Jane a bit too much recently lol.
It's certainly a possibility, in the cesspool of corruption that is pro boxing. But I doubt it, because Parker is still young, and surely believes he still has a shot at a title. Maybe the other way around: Whyte takes a dive, setting up Parker as once again a credible opponent for Wilder.
I think it's a pretty even fight on paper. But Parker is better than anyone Whyte has beaten and so I have Parker the slight favourite. His speed and movement will be key. But Parker has a stylistic flaw where if he can't stop you it will end up being a close fight, which is why his fights with Takam, Ruiz Jr and Fury were all close affairs. He can't score off the back foot and so opens himself up to be countered when he attacks and Whyte is a solid counter puncher. So again he'll find himself having to take shots to land shots, again resulting in a tight affair on the score cards. But if Parker can get off first and get off frequently enough to out work Whyte he wins. Whyte's best hope is if he can cut off the ring effectively against Parker who will no doubt be on the move. Whyte can't do what he did vs Helenius and struggle to get to his opponent consistently, Parker is more mobile than anyone he has faced to date. If he's left following Parker around he'll lose on points. But if he's the one pushing the pace and is able to pressure Parker effectively he can earn the decision by out working Parker. If Whyte ends up being the one forced back then he's in trouble. Parker may not be a big puncher but if Chisora can hurt Whyte then Parker can too. If Parker's power becomes a factor and we see Parker pushing forward and Whyte boxing, Parker likely stops Whyte, he won't gas like Chisora when he has Whyte hurt.
