You need to learn proper technique.
No flow between punches, your hips aren’t turning over, you are basically arm punching the entire time. You have so many tells right now that an opponent can predict your moves a mile away or set a trap and clean house.

You are very squared up. You don't turn your punches over and, when you throw the left uppercut, you just drop your hand, and that leaves you open. You are punching just with your arms, no hips and shoulders.

I would suggest starting off with (using correct technique, as the other guy said) slowing it down and practising individual moves and punches until you get them right. Each should flow out and then back to the correct stance. Then combine them into mini-combinations until they are smooth:

    1-1
    1-2
    2-3
    Slip-2
    Slip-roll

Don't worry so much about trying to 'look like' an accomplished shadow boxer - just work on doing simple moves correctly.

Also, try putting the camera at about shoulder height so you can compare what you're doing with what you observe others doing.

    Just my two cents.

Have someone that knows good technique watch and correct you on the spot.

It's all well and good that you want to learn, but learning and engraining poor technique will hinder you in the long run.

Agreed - but perhaps that what he is doing. It is definitely much better to have someone (who knows what he is talking about) correct you on the spot, but maybe he doesn't have that.

I found that shadow boxing was the most useful but *the* hardest thing to learn - and if you haven't got access to a good coach, you cannot learn it.

I think there is definitely value in uploading a video of oneself shadow boxing here to get useful feedback (even though, of course, it is not nearly as good as having in-person observation and correction).

I did it myself a while ago and got some good advice. I'm surprised more people don't do it.

Slow everything down, move your head more and practice the simple stuff first, you’re trying g too hard, too early. Perfect the 1-2 and the double jab rear and when you’ve perfected those move onto hooks and uppercuts.
