Beterbiev v Johnson confirmed

Smacks of a similar chance to the Miguel Cotto v Michael Jennings fight in New York a few years ago - very slight chance of Johnson winning.

Least he is dareing to be great and try defeat a feared fighter when some other known lhw are fighting some shocking opposition

 

I may be wrong I think Johnson is 30 he prob is never goin get a better chance shot of a world title and even a defeat as long he puts a decent showImg could do wonders for his career he is goin in nothing lose all to gain

 

People forget that whilst beterbiev is offensely a beast, his chin isn’t great. He’s been put on the canvas by a journeyman, this guy is no GGG.

Johnson underdog yes, but in with a real chance given his power and beterbiev’s age/lack of activity/average chin.

 

Fair play to him for stepping up but I think he's getting damaged big time. Should be fun though

 

Johnson is getting brutally knocked out. I hope this fight doesn’t effectively end his career and he is getting a good cheque for this.

Quite possibly but still despite my own issues with Hearn how on earth is he feeding Johnson to the lions? Im pretty sure he would want the fight himself if anything.

 

Wrong fight, wrong time,wrong opponent for him and he is getting smashed with little chance of success.

Sometimes you need to hang around the fringes waiting for a better opportunity to come along like Ricky Burns did three times and Toni Bellew at Goodison Park.

Bellew knows that all of the elite cruiserweights wipe him right out and the same will happen to Johnson in this fight.

 

That's all well and good but Johnson hasn't exactly been overly active the last few years, is not a known name outside of hard-cores and may never get another opportunity at 30.

Still a good fight for him imo even if the likely happens and he does lose it still raises his profile and will likely earn him an extra couple of quid the tale end of his career. This obsession with an undefeated record (not saying you) is ridiculous a loss to Beterbiev would not be the worse thing for his career.

 

I do have respect for him taking the fight though mate
