The story may be true, but TMT isn't stupid. The contract likely can be terminated anytime TMT wishes if Adrian Broner should lose.

Broner is not anywhere near A level, so stipulations you see!

I don't know if he is a natural promoter. He is a clone of someone where there is already the original Floyd. Broner gets attention the way many people do in the social media era, but so what. Being a clown can get any attention. That is the era we live now with twitter and all this. It doesn't matter what the accomplishments are, it just matters the noise you make.

I get you but @350k the promoter would barely break even.

The story is probably fake but if not, more power to Broner for pulling that off. Can't remember anyone else doing 350k ppvs and getting paid 10 mill for it.

I’m happy for broner if that’s what he’s gonna get, but it seems a bit sketchy.

Mayweather signs broner, creates a big beef, than announces come back to fight broner to settle it in the ring. With rematch clause.
That's the only way he signs him for that money or its fake news anyway.

He doesn't deserve it. I am not sure what it is about. This makes TMT look unprofessional.

50 million? For what? His career is on the downside. People dont take him seriously. He got beaten fair and square more than once.

This isnt even like with mike tyson who kept getting big paydays even after the holyfield losses because of his unpredictability and exciting style/power. What exactly does Broner have to offer thats worth 50 mil in only 5 fights?

Dana Whyte might buy TMT and Box Nation, or only TMT.

Why would you even make that kind of offer for a fighter who's so clearly unreliable, often extremely unprofessional, when it is incredibly obvious he just wants a final payday?

Adrien Broner last week announced his “retirement” from boxing via a message on social media. Well, so much for that. According to Broner’s latest social media announcement, he has just signed a huge $50 million deal for five fights with The Money Team, Mayweather Promotions.

Plenty of web sites have picked up on this story, with some saying they do not believe “The Problem” has really signed such a deal. As fans know, Broner and Floyd Mayweather Junior have had their differences over the years, with fallouts and various exchanged insults. But now, according to Broner, the two have sat down and agreed on the big-money five fight deal:

@floydmayweather I’m glad we was able to sit down and workout our differences…. I was glad to sign the 5 fight promotional contract for 50 million #Brothas4Eva #TMT #? #BigBro”

Another question fight fans may ask, aside from whether or not the deal is in fact genuinely signed and sealed (Broner says and writes so much on social media, how do we know for sure he is telling the truth this time?), is, has the former four-weight world champion got five fights left in him, at elite level?

Assuming the deal is real, Mayweather will not want Broner to face soft touches or easy opponents. Again, can Broner – a fighter who notoriously blows hot and cold and who has in fact lost the biggest fights of his pro career, to Marcos Maidana, Shawn Porter and most recently Mikey Garcia – buckle down and work hard enough to put five straight wins in the bag?

If the deal is real it could equal big excitement and just maybe Broner will at last show the world the greatness many people once believed he had in him. Recently Broner turned down an offer from British promoter Eddie Hearn, for far less cash than the alleged $50 million. Now we know why.

It will be interesting to see who “Money” Mayweather matches Broner with in the first of the five fights and then in the remaining four.
