1 What a ****ing ******ed hitting a horse. The horse should kick his face and then he would see who hits hArder
Both fighters routinely broke down their opponents with intelligent boxing and ferocious body attacks. However on a single punch basis Duran definitely hit harder.
Duran had more handspeed or "snap". He was more likely to really get you in trouble with one shot but both could wear you down and damage you badly late in fights. Duran is the more dangerous single punch threat and a faster starter. But in terms of late round power and cumulative effect they are about even
Duran was more explosive dangerous. Chavez could hurt you but many of his opponents quit on their stools or got worn down late from accumulation.
I think it would be fair to say that young Duran carried more power throughout a bigger variety of punches (rather than just older Duran across weight classes).
Duran was the harder hitter for me...Chavez, an ATG himself, it might be said, he was slightly more accurate with punch placement...than Duran....maybe.
You think Duran hit as hard pound for pound as Felix Trinidad? Can't see it. Zarate either. He certainly hit harder than Chavez though.
