Idiot that I am, and many posters probably saw it coming, we all thought Frazier would beat Foreman. We were sitting around, listening to Beck & Santana self medicating ourselves :) and playing Euchre. My late boxing bud said, about 11:00 pm: "Why don't you call the sports line and see what the result was?"
I called and the newspaper sports 'guy' said: "Foreman, 2nd round stoppage". I hung up the phone and my buds said: "Well?" I said" I...don't...know." I called back and the same guy said: "I JUST told you! Foreman in the 2nd"!!
    We were shocked.

I was certain that Wlad was going to destroy Fury.

I just never saw that guy coming!

When I was at one of the HOF, I remember taking a picture with Nate Campbell..said dude.. hope keeping it real doesnt go wrong, but I'm asking for a pic with U cause U earned my respect...I just KNEW Baby Bull would stop the Galaxy Warrior. I think he told me, most of his family didn't seem convinced he could do it, corner included.

Katsidis over Casa, no way this mugging maulin' over the hill runner would win. Kat almost had him
Clottey over Pac...to this day I think he took $ to not try. Pac looked muffed up with few punches landed.

Chazz Witherspoon over Arreola. I got pretty close with him and his pop...Too confident he' outjab him.

    James Kikland vs Ishida...nuff said.

I thought Holyfield would go out on his shield vs Tyson.
And to this day, I still think there was no promotion for Tyson Douglas cause I don't remember it being advertised or I would've been dead wrong. I just remember reading the headline on the Milwaukee Journal next morning:
    It's True.

Same as that! I was pretty uneducated back then on anything apart from domestic and European level boxing, but I was adamant Hatton was going to wipe that big smile off Floyd's face! The world stage really is a different ball game and if it wasn't for Calzaghe, Hatton and Woods fighting in America, I'd have been waiting for some time to broaden my horizon's onto the international scene.

Pryor vs Arguello, ( if Pryor was getting knocked down by Kameda' and D.Johnsons of the world) I thought Arguello would put him in orbit. Spinks vs Holmes 1 and 2, didn't see that coming at all, Duran vs Leonard #1, thought Leonard would kill Duran, Leonard vs Hagler, thought Hagler would ruin Leonard. Benitez vs Hamsho, ( My thoughts were if Benitez made Hearns and Leonard miss a ton of punches, could Hamsho hit him once? Spinks vs Ali. Thought Ali had just enough to get by the kid with 11 pro fights (I think it was) Curry vs Honeyham ( Honey who? ) But I did pick Tyson to lose to Douglas, ( just had a feeling. Douglas had all the tools to be special, just not the desire . But when I found out his mother died. ) And Tyson was not taking it seriously. I made A LOT of money on that lol.

Hopkins vs. Tito. I bought into the thing that if Tito can destroy Joppy he can destroy Bernard. Totally different level of fighter. Hopkins had more options and he was a very cerebral fighter. No one was going to blast him out in one round normally.

this too. I thought it was a mismatch with Oscar picking it to have an easy fight. I was shocked.

    Holyfield v Tyson

No-one was picking Holyfield before that fight and I was no different. Happy to be proved wrong though.

Haggler vs Leonard. Leonard out of the ring for 3 years after looking unimpressive against Bruce Finch facing a seemingly motivated Marvelous.
