If Pavlik is the risky fight, Jones isn't, and both are money fights, then it makes sense to do the one that isn't risky first, that way you get two massive paydays.

    Economics 101 people.

This is just amazing. How can anybody write this. This is just fantasticly stupid.

You are living in a dream world.

You think Pavliks performance against Lockette scared Team Calzaghe.

:patsch So what if it was a good performance. See that performance in its context. Anybody can look good against that guy. This was also supposed to be a light fight for Pavlik wasnt it ?

Pavlik did not show anything new. He couldnt against that guy.

THIS TIME HE WAS UP AGAINST A LESS CAPABLE OPPONENT. AND SO HE LOOKED BETTER, MORE DOMINANT THAN AGAINST TAYLOR. AND HE SHOULD. IF HE HADENT SOMETHING WAS SERIOUSLY WRONG.

You know I looked really good when I sparred my grandfather. I looked so much faster than him. That didnt scare my training partners however.

It is funny: When Mikkel Kessler took out Markus Beyer in 3 rounds, some people said" Beyer is just a paper champion"

AND THEN PAVLIK TAKES OUT SOME LOCKETTE IN 3 ROUNDS. AND SUPPOSEDLY JOE CALZAGHE SHOULD **** IN HIS PANTS OVER THIS.

HE DIDNT **** IN HIS PANTS OVER MIKKEL KESSLERS KNOCKOUT OF BEYER, WHY IN THE HELL SHOULD HE **** IN HIS PANTS OVER PAVLIKS LAST FIGHT.

Both Kessler and Calzaghe beats Pavlik at this point in time.

Pavlik beat the man who beat the man....Taylor beat BHOP twice. Kelly beating Miranda and Taylor twice and in in brutal fashion is on par with any bull**** win Slappy Joe has. Pavliks domination was total clearly he beats Joes ass if he ever grows the balls to walk in the ring

Yeah, because a few nationalistic grumpy hating ****s demand it, Calzaghe is supposed to do what you demand of him

STFU you whining idiots - it's obvious this fight is in the making, so obvious from the stuff being said by both parties that they are hyping the fight. Pavlik needs to get some more exposure, maybe even defend his titles a few more times, so he isn't just a 5 minute wonder when he fights Calzaghe.

In the meantime, Calzaghe fights an ATG in RJJ for mega$$$, and gets another legendary name on his resume as a W (presuming he wins).

Do you dumb ****ers get it yet?

Taylor had 2 decidedly controversial wins over Hopkins.

Taylor KD'd Pavlik in their first fight before Pavlik came back to TKO Taylor.

    Their rematch went the distance.

Hopkins schooled Tarver at LHW and then Calzaghe beat him, albeit it in ugly fashion due to Hopkins' spoiling tactics, yet you haters all say NOW that Hopkins is too old.

Funny how when Pavlik beats the man who beat Hopkins controversially twice, it's a good thing, yet when Calzaghe beats the same man, it's because he was too old

    Pull your head in :yep

In 2006 Kelly was working for his MW Title. This fight would have meant nothing then. The day after he got the title, Joe called him out. Put up or shut up time for Cal.

You think Enzo wasn't sizing Pavlik up? Think Enzo didn't watch Joe spar agains Lockett? Arum said signing this fight was his number one priority so they ARE tripping over themselves.
