I think this is going to be a very untidy fight, Catterall is going to make it feel like a phone box scrap for McKenna. He was happy to drag Nurse into that kind of fight and I think he’ll see that as the best way of nullifying McKenna’s size and reach. I’m predicting a stoppage by body shots from Catterall.
Well, I got that wrong. What a great fight, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Catterall was a deserving winner but McKenna showed guts and character to not only hang in there but fight back. Catterall had him finished in round 2 but really let himself down with smashing him twice when he was already down. I really rate Catterall, he can demonstrate some sublime boxing skills but then frustratingly he just switches off for a few rounds. That’s when he gets caught. I really can see Catterall hurting Davies early on. He’s a much better boxer, but he needs more discipline.
I didn't catch any boxing tonight. Saw a few results from all over the place though, Sam Eggington won via TKO. A little result that stood out to me was on the Eggington card, Lee Gunter 3-0-0 lost to Myles Vale 0-7-0 via PTS. There were a couple more upsets on that card, Indi Sangha 9-0-0 lost to Michael Ramabelesta 15-17-0 via KO. And Carl Dickens 9-3-0 lost to Duane Green 4-34-7 via PTS Must have been something in the air there tonight in Birmingham.
Thanks chaps. The admin take themselves far too seriously. They lack consistency, too. Good to be back!
Apparently they were trying to make Cornish vs Dubois. Could be a solid card if they get hat sort of opponent
It would yeah. We just need Yarde in with someone with a pulse and it will probably be the best card of the year.
