Whytes gonna get stopped in this one. Parker will flurry him and ref will jump in with whyte out on his feet.

 

I found it all rather boring, not that it didn't not kick off, that would have probably made me think it was staged and planned.

But they didn't really say anything you wouldn't expect, we didn't learn anything new.

Parker gave his reasons for the AJ performance said he "fought a smart fight".

Whyte called him a "Coward" for not having a real go in the AJ fight.

Both commented they had surgery after their Joshua fights, which made me start thinking how good were those wins really (For AJ) considering both men were apparently injured before both of those fights.

And is there a theme?

Haye injured before Bellew and still fought, plenty saying he was injured before Bellew II also and still fought.. Parker and Whyte both injured before Joshua fights and all them had surgery after their fights so these wasn't minor injuries.


Anyway, Both men said they came from challenging backgrounds, Whyte contradicted himself, said Parker was a coward but said he respected him and when challenged by Nelson said he can also respect cowards.

So it pretty much bored me, I don't know what I expected or even wanted but it was just the normal stuff.

 

The AJ/Povetkin gloves are off will be interesting, could well end up being a porno after seeing them cuddling and kissing at Wembley yesterday

Bit disrespectful from Whyte calling Parker a coward, the same could be levelled at him for not rematching del boy.

 

I hate the narrative sky are pushing about all the big names wont fight Whyte! Like he is this feared boogeyman of the division! The casuals lap it up though

 

I am 100 times more excited for Usyk-Gassiev than this stupid fight.

 

All spot on apart from when Parker mentioned his surgery I’m pretty sure this was before the AJ fight?

When he mentioned it he was saying it in response to whyte commenting on his boring performances before AJ.

I actually agreed with whytes coward comment, it was spot on. Parker knew for a fact he wasn’t up on the cards so in round 9/10/11/12 why didn’t he go for the KO?

Whyte not rematching Chisora is purely a business decision, he’s a prize fighter after all.

 

i still dont think whyte is that good or that dedicated, he did a job on browne that many (myself included) didnt expect. but without being too harsh that might do him more harm than good to be honest, because it quickly became clear that lucas shouldnt have been anywhere near a boxing ring that night.

whyte is benefiting from some cynical matchroom promotion in order to continue the gravy train and he really needs to come back down to planet earth if he wants to become a serious challenger. for sure, his promoter just wants him there abouts so he can cash him out in another MEGA PPV WEMBERRLEY SHOWDOWN foregone conclusion.

fwiw, i expect whyte to get convincingly beat, but parket hasnt hurt anyone in a while.

having said that this is a tough and serious fight for him so he deserves respect for taking it, parker is solid/decent if unspectacular. should be interesting to see how it goes.

 

Whytes got a knack of getting under people's skin. He's like that tubby kid at school who just can't help pressing buttons. Unfortunately Parker is ice cool and didn't give him any ammunition.

Parker wants that WBC ranking and that's why they took it. Meal ticket for the Wilder fight.
