    That's a myth.

Leonard was faster of both hand and foot than Robinson. Which is certainly not to say that Robinson wasn't fast himself, but Leonard was faster.

Robinson was definitely more powerful though, and Robinson had a better chin by a good margin. He was also a bigger man than Leonard in general... his frame carried 160 better than Leonard's did.

I'd take Robinson to win a well deserved decision... reason being that I believe at some point it would change from a high-paced chessmatch to a war... and in a war Robinson definitely has the edge over Leonard by way of having... as I just mentioned... the bigger guns and the better chin. But anybody who thinks Leonard DOESN'T make this fight close is fooling themselves.

I agree with this, though Robinson was naturally a bigger man, and of course a better overall resume, prime vs prime Leonard would give him hell. Just like Robinson would've been the most talented opponent on Leonard's resume, Leonard would've been the most talented fighter That Robinson would've faced too at welter weight. Though I do believe Robinson would've won, it wouldn't be a walk in the park, and the skill level, aggression, and pure athletic talent would've been off the charts. Probably would have the ebb and flow of Hearns vs Leonard. But with Robinson winning a dec.

Going against the grain. I say Leonard takes one out of 3 fights.

One of the all time greatest matchups possible. Almost a battle between two gods, certainly gods at the weight. Unforgiven would disagree but he's gawn!!!

SRR by a reasonably competitive but never disputed decision.

I have to agree with the Robby wins crowd here, he lands more pin point punches, blocks more in the flurries, and while he takes Leonard's power shots well I think he would hurt and maybe drop leonard on the way to a close win in a great fight.

Leonard winning wouldn't shock me. If Tommy Bell could floor Robinson and give him a good tussle, Leonard was capable of even more. People act like it's against the law to say anything against a prime Robinson. To say that Leonard could beat him isn't being derogatory to Robby, merely complimentary to Leonard.

Leonard could win, if they fought 4 times Leaonard would get a decision over Robby in one of their fights.

I think Robinson wins, but Leonard show us and Robinson that he's worthy of the name "Sugar Ray" on this night.

A draw even isn't out of the question here.
