Never say never. Audley made it to a titleshot at a time that he was at about the level that Price is now, as all you need is a countryman with a belt who wants a very easy titledefence and picks him out of the crop. Make up some grudge story, put it on PPV and there you go!
lol what? the ropes kept him up he would have been flat on his arse and price would have got the job done in the next 20 seconds
Yeah, his legs were OK. Plus, you know, if the round was 30 seconds shorter than shot doesn't even land and we don't have to talk about this hypothetical situation
If he still hasn’t got a world class coach, and he has been laid out by European level fighters (Teper, Hammer), then yes talk of a world title shot is delusional. Povetkin who has held a world title and is now a contender for one- laid Price out cold let’s not forget. How is Price correcting his defensive flaws and protecting his chin?
I think Price v Fury is the right fight to make at the end of the year / early next year. Maybe Fury can beat Charr then have a defence against Price?
The only positive (for the want of a better word) Is that the knockouts Price has suffered tend to Be concussive and quick. I'd Be seriously concerned if he was involved in 12 round wars continuously taking clean shots, that's where the neurological damage follows. With careful matchmaking there's still a few paydays for pricey.
he's trapped in purgatory between British and euro level, but that's never stopped someone getting a shot. if he can pick up the euro against an easy opponent her probably be in the running.... sad but true (Audley/Sprott got surely a shot)
I disagree with your assessment of his mental state. He seems quite aware of his own shortcomings. Saying “I’d love to fight for a title if I get a shot” is not the same as “I will win a world title”. That’s an honest an accurate statement, not delusional.
