Frazier couldn`t see at the end of his fight with Ali in Manilla and had taken a horrific beating, any more punches could have led to disaster, Frazier`s faculties were in a bad way later in life and his speech was badly slurred, it could have been because of this vicious fight in Manilla.

the closest thing Ali felt to death. Frazier must have been closer to it.

Yes he would have because unbeknownst to Futch Ali was not going to come out for the 15th.

And you really believe Ali would've quit with only one rd to go? That is one of the biggest bunch of nonsense in boxing history. Dundee, Ali's corner man, never heard it and he was directly in Ali's face. And Ali had pounded Frazier the previous 2 rds. No reason to quit. Frazier and his people more than likely put that story out. Ali would've never quit against Frazier in my opinion, he would've rather die 1st.

No, Frazier was blind and I would never would want to bet Muhammad Ali could draw the strength for one more round.

Both of Ali and Frazier would rather have died fighting than "quit" on the stool. They were both warriors. Frazier was stopped by his trainer Eddie Futch; and Futch loved Smokin' Joe and didn't want to see him get hurt (any more than he already had).

They both would have come out for the 15th. The way Ali collapsed when the fight was stopped raises the question of whether his body had hit the wall. Impossible to say. 100+ degrees. Joe Frazier had a trainer/cornerman who cared about him. Ali's not as much.

Remember they both took a beating. Ali"s mid section was beaten ruthlessly and consistently for the first 11 rounds.

Frazier fought the fight be had to fight. Ali fought a very smart fight. He was able to conserve his energy just enough. The fight turned out just the way it should have.

He has no credibility. When it comes down to his fighter the truth could be a TKO victim.. Especially Ali. I do agree with you that Ali would come out but I'm have no doubt he was yelling "CUTUM OFF!"

I agree 100% percent with you. Both those men deserve their place in Vahalla. Frazier never would've quit either, and that's definitely not what I was Implying. Just Ali, found away to out last Frazier, all the way to their graves. Which is ironic.
