Dundee, Ali's corner man, never heard it and he was directly in Ali's face. And Ali had pounded Frazier the previous 2 rds. No reason to quit. Both of Ali and Frazier would rather have died fighting than "quit" on the stool. They were both warriors. Frazier was stopped by his trainer Eddie Futch; and Futch loved Smokin' Joe and didn't want to see him get hurt (any more than he already had).

I agree 100% percent with you. Both those men deserve their place in Vahalla. Frazier never would've quit either, and that's definitely not what I was Implying. Just Ali, found away to out last Frazier, all the way to their graves. Which is ironic.
