Mouth watering clash! If they fought now would Bivol be a bit too green or could he get the job done? How would it go?

I'd favor Bivol right now. Kovalev before Ward II is pick Kovalev but he's not the same mentally and I think he has slowed down and declined physically a bit since the first Ward fight. I think Bivol's speed and angles would give him fits. Then again Kovalev is actually a very good counter puncher with elite timing and accuracy, if he kept his composure early good chance he times Bivol coming in and can stop anyone in the division. Tough close fight no matter who wins, tough to actually put money against either guy.

Kovalev definitely has just faaaaaaaaaaaaaar more experience. But he's also in his mid 30's. So it would be experience against youth.

I think Sergey clips him. Too much experience and still is a force to be reckoned with. Unless of course Ward has been showing Bivol the art of going low, elbows, head butts, ducking below the waist, holding and getting with the right people that can have an influence on the judges. Then Sergey would have his work cut out for him.

Ward did take a lot out of him that with this punch.

Don't forget to throw Gvozdyk in there, he is definitely up there in LHW. He was Usyks sparring partner when he was getting ready for Gassiev. and Usyk said that Gvozdyk hits HARDER than Gassiev. let that sink in.

That's bull****. Gvozdyk hits hard but not harder than a top 200 pounder puncher.

It was the ball shots that set it up. And it STILL didn’t drop Kovalev. Andre went down on all fours in the first robbery though didn’t he? :)

Not sure if its a stretch or not, here he is in the WSB beating the living snot out of Subacius, who's a Heavyweight, with thicker gloves on, he's clearly being hurt and Gvozdyk is on the verge of stopping him. Subacius has a win over Szpilka in the ams.

The point is leading up to it people were saying ward could not hurt kova but he wobbled him and hurt him with that headshot. Say what u want about what caused the stoppage but kova was mentally DONE and would have been stopped sooner or later.
