Mayweather was NEVER naturally gifted in boxing like Loma and Usyk never had REAL skill

I don't buy it.

Some might have better genetics etc but to be the best in the world at something you have to work bloody hard at it. Usyk and Loma weren't born boxers any more than Mayweather was.

If they never set foot in a gym they'd never have been world champions (or a title holder in Loma's case).

Hard work and dedication makes a man a champion.

 

Honestly one thing I did notice that was a physical gift is his reach at his height and his speed him and Pacquaio have speed that your born with and make better over time

Nothing natural about Loma. Everything he does was honed through practice. He even took dancing lessons. Mayweather was born to fight and so was Pac.

Mayweather would have been great in the Ams if he hadn't of been robbed of Olympic gold. In those games he became the first US boxer to beat a Cuban in 20 years at the Olympics. But then was robbed vs Todorov. Watch the fight it was not even close, Mayweather clearly won.

Usyk took quite a few losses in his earlier years as an amateur - it was by working hard and improving that he became dominant in the last 3-4 years of his amateur career and continuing ...

 

LMAO! So your hero Mayweather growing up in boxing gyms and around a whole family of boxers including a rich professional boxer dad who had him in gloves at 4 years old didn’t have anything to do with his success in the sport huh? Lol

 

Ummm Floyd Mayweather is widely considered the greatest fighter in the history of the 130 lb division. He's also considered a top 10 welterweight in the history of the sport. That's 4 weight classes and about 10 years of boxing experience apart from one another.

Loma and Usyk are fabulous fighters, but you're comparing them to a guy who was in the P4P rankings for about 17 or 18 years in a row? Also someone who had a stranglehold as the best P4P fighter for around a decade. I don't know any fighter in the history of the sport that can boast about that type of dominant longevity outside of a few of the greatest ever- i.e. Armstrong, Greb and Robinson.

He's not the GOAT but he's absolutely a high ranking ATG. To think he was able to be the simultaneous lineal champion in 2 weight classes in his late 30's- his 4th and 5th weight classes- is just remarkable. I get his polarizing ways outside of the ring, but the guy is all class inside the squared circle.

 

I like a thread whose take differs from mine but is well supported by facts, videos, etc. But this was just straight hating and stupid.
