So Garcia vs Easter Jr this weekend... Official Picks?!

Mikey by a landslide based of Easter's last fight. Maybe he will be better. Does seem to have a reach advantage which gives me my only pause. I think TKO 5th or 6th round Mikey.

 

Mikey on points, starts out a close and exciting fight, mikey hurts easter somewhere between rounds 4-6 and from that point on easter fighters on the defensive plays it safe and loses on points.

Mikey KO. I initially thought Easter would give him a thought fight but idk anymore. I am certain it will be tough in certain spots but Easter always steps with his punches and he rarely sets anything up. Mikel will have a field day counter those steps.
If Easter can come up with a gameplan on how to get on the inside then he will have his moments.

I just saw Garcia and Easter together at the weigh in. There is no reason why a guy that much taller would not win. Use your reach and land that right hand. Learn how to put leverage behind it the guy cannot stay up.. It is a matter of learning how to use that reach and leverage. Easter would win in 2 or 3 rounds if he had the knowledge and experience of Thomas Hearns.. But he is not great like Tommy.

 

I don't think volume, I think Easter should watch videos of Hearns vs. Duran. Use the jab and Garcia makes any more inside counter him but always think about the right. I just don't think he knows how to use that height and reach properly. Hearns had 163 amateur fights and was a great fighter. But still, watching someone like Hearns vs. Duran would help Easter. That is the fight he needs. He might get stopped but take a chance. Go in there and have KO in mind and see what happens. Use the jab. If the jab works and lands, he can get the right hand off. Make it simple. Jab right hand. If Thomas Hearns would have fought Garcia, I don't think it goes past 2 rounds. Tommy was that much better than Garcia. But I don't Easter can do it.

 

This. Easter looks like he can take a punch, so I also don't think he'll get stopped, but he doesn't have the skill or power to trouble Mikey.

 

Easter is up for this fight, he may have added a few wrinkles to his fight game. At any rate, if he fights tall then it's a toss up but if he fights his normal fight then Mikey will take him out.
