Mikey is out of his mind. He does not beat Spence. Look how soft he looks at this weight. He could move down if he wanted to. He is a very good fighter but he's too small.

I think it might end up going badly for him against Spence but man you gotta love the cajones on Mikey.

Yep! Hopefully they rethink that idea. Much rather see him face Lomachenko. Like you said, Spence is simply too big for him.

I ain't got no problem with Mikey looking to fight Spence. Wish more fighter would look for challenges like this.

I would take Spence in this fight.

Based on this fight, Mikey is not ready for welterweight champs, he should fight loma to solidify his p4p status.

If he does lose to Errol he is still light years ahead of that weasel Lomachenko fighting smaller men and getting dropped by c class fighters Salido, Linares.

In fact Lomachenko should fight Mikey first if he so bad.

Mikey would be steam rolled by Spence.

I'd love to see Mikey vs. Linares and Loma vs Beltran.

Hey, this is "P4P" guy we;'re talking about here, they're not supposed to dropped 4 or 5 rounds to guys like Easter and Lipinets, fair's fair, if Crawford or Loma did that, they'd be bashed mercilessly, Mikey does NOT deserve to get a pass.

Good performance by Mikey. Easter started off well using his reach and movement but he was just throwing the jab and the straight right to the body with little variation from that. But once he felt Mikey's power he began to lose heart and was more content on staying on his bicycle, covering up behind a high guard when Mikey did get into range, and only opening up in spurts rather than actually trying to win.

He took most of Mikey's big shots on his gloves and arms but some of them got through and he clearly felt the weight of them. He did have success when he stopped moving and let his hands go but by the same token those were the moments where he left himself vulnerable to Mikey's power and was made to pay for his bravery.

I gave Mikey every round, but I'm always pretty biased towards the cleaner boxer and I don't care for "bean counting" punches without taking context and consequence into account like so many of you. The punches Mikey landed were both cleaner and harder, and controlled the action and thwarted and confused Easter, while the punches Easter landed didn't lead to anything but Mikey continuing to walk him down.
