Countering Kovalev is one thing, Usyk is refining a very smart style though. His jab & footwork combined with that tall rangy frame, the right team around him & the influence of the Lomachenkos is quite formidable. Wards experience would stand him well tho.. Ward as well as natural ability has always relied on great physicality too, clinching, billy goating his opponents forehead etc & that would be another thing he'd lose here being the much smaller man. Kovalev beat Ward first time anyway. Ward just has better ability to adjust & had a stable team around him & isn't afraid to get down & dirty. Ward bulking up would slow him down too! We have divisions for a reason, Rigo just found that out... I can't really see Ward winning here. Against a1D slower type CW maybe but Usyk? Nah..

I am giddy over the fact that Uysk and Bellew are talking about getting together in the U.K. for big money while Ward has no leverage and neither guy wants to be bothered fighting him in the Western U.S. for much less money in a half full arena with bought off ref and judges. Ward is experiencing he is not the center of boxing and he cannot keep pulling the wool over the fans eyes. The sport is healthier without him and if he does actually want the winner of Usyk and Bellew he will not be calling the shots.
