The jaded cynic in me dictates that in order for Khabib to win, he has to get the finish. Because if he lets it go to the judge's scorecards in Vegas against the UFC cash cow, he has only two chances of winning: Slim, and None.

And Slim's already left town. :sisi1

I'm thinking more along the lines of questionable stand up/resets that allow Conor to pick up the W.

Yeah, Herb Dean -- or whoever the referee happens to be -- stands it back up because he rules that Khabib is hitting Conor too hard with his Ground & Pound.

Incidentally, what is the ruling on a fight being reset to standing? Is it basically when there is no real action on the ground? (i.e Two guys wrestlehugging each other on the ground, without any one guy getting the upper hand.)

I don't see it. One take down will eviscerate all of McGregor's 5 round stamina and i don't believe his striking his good enough to stop Kabib from getting a a take down.

Incredible fight tough but the bad news is BT won't be showing the UFC anymore after October since Eleven Sports bough out the rights. What a joke this is , BT is costly enough even with all the UFC cards.

Even you must give Connor credit if he wins this one right?

Yeah stalling in the guard with little offense/effort to change positions.

Khabib will have a kimura locked up and Herb Dean or Mark Goddard will pike him in the eyes then stand them up. Then Bob Bennett will wire transfer a large sum of money into the refs bank account.

Not sure I understand the hatred.

Sure he’s pompous, but it’s his job. He’s the biggest star MMA has ever seen, as that’s only partly because of how talented he is, but more because of how quick and witty he is promoting a fight.

He’s beaten (and often humiliated) the best thrown at him, and more importantly, he’s humble in defeat. It’s one thing to act like Broner and get escorted away after losing or Rousey not talking to the media for a year (and still refusing to talk about her losses). The guy faces the music, nothing not to respect about him.

MMA guys hate him because they actually envy him. Even if they are as talented, they can’t talk their way into a $100 million payday with Floyd freaking Mayweather. Think about that. The guy called it a year before the fight took place. He wanted it, talked it up. Beat the snot out of Alvarez, and made it happen. Who else could do that?

Conor makes me laugh with the pressers, and obviously he’s the most popular for a reason (unlike Brock). But his defeats have impressed me the most. He stood there and gave Diaz credit, and wanted the rematch at the same weight when he could have drained him down to 155. Then he went against Floyd and honestly did as well or better than some of Floyd’s other opponents.

Win or lose, there is no stopping the CM train. He’s got Dana by the balls. He owns MMA.

I am delighted BT has dropped UFC and even more happy SKY arent taking it.

Eleven Sports and a decent internet provider will do me, plus fight pass

Good Lord what a load of bullocks! Sycophantry and brainwashing at it's finest.

McGregor is an obnoxious douche bag who only appeals to posers and cucks with identity crisis'. He is also a crap human being with the extreme fortune of being in a sport promoted and run by even worse human beings who needed a stooge to play the fool to expand a niche sport into a casual market full of weak minded weirods looking for an object of envy.

As a fighter he is a one trick pony and a weight bully who is in all honety no better than the 4th best fighter in his current division.

Id dont have to like him cause everyone else does, the guys a shite bag n i hope he gets hammered, i think inactivity will cost him. I give him 3 or 4 years max left in the sport, he doesnt own MMA he's a fighter like all the rest, once he retires someone new takes the mantle of promoting the business and being the face of the sport.

If he beats Khabib well done to him but the end will come at some stage and there will be beatings and he will look for a way out as he does.

Of course if Conor can win especially if he has to survive some ground fighting and win he will gets massive props.
